Hey! How to make the stars looking like that?
.. I was wrong check @reef remnant his answer
Okay tysm
Oh
Also if you don't have a bhatinov mask (which you probably dont) you can make a diy one by using string and making an x shape over your telescope. Kinda like this
@stone lake
I searched it many people also said you could do this, so you’re right
That isnt a Bahtinov mask, bahtinov masks are used entirely for focusing, and should not be used while imaging. This is a diffraction mask, to replicate the diffraction spikes a newtonian gives because of its spider vein system that holds the secondary mirror in place. Hope this helps
Thanks for the help
Great shot! What scope?
Thats not what a bahtinov mask is for and it doesn't make your stars look like that a bahtinov mask is for focusing and gives your stars 6 spikes not four
I know how a bhatinov mask works. I explained it wrong thats all.
Ok
sorry for the missed reply, notifications were not on. For this image I used a 5 inch f/5 relfector
