Its a 150/750mm refractor, dont really know the company but it has a quite attractive price and its a national brand. Its comes with a 1.2m tripod and an equatorial mount that im thinking about motorizing, though im making sure to contact the store to confirm whether its possible to do so.
My main focus are galaxies and nebulae and i shoot with a Nikon DSLR, and apparently it is possible to just connect the camera to the telescope.
This would be my first telescope so im looking for all the help i can get.
#Thinking about buying this scope

Even if you can motorize that mount it won't be good enough to track at that focal length
The focuser seems too long too to reach focus with a dslr
In general if you want a rig for ap you need to buy stuff separately
DON'T GET IT WORST PURCHASE EVER
Go for a star tarcker and a lens
I'm assuming you already have some lens
So a star tracker works for now
Yes i was first considering a Star Adventurer 2i as i already have a 300mm lens, plus the fact that the brand didnt advertise any deep sky astro on its profiles so i was already suspicious of the scopes's capabilities
see if you can find a star adventurer second hand, they go for pretty cheap usually
definitely a better start
Poor quality mirror, crap focuser, mount will break by putting the scope on it, counterweight built like a bottle of water, primary mirror holder looks ancient, tripod looks like it will topple over any day now, it won’t reach focus with a DSLR without pushing the mirror up, finder scope looks cheap.
Overall, don’t get it.
Use your 300mm lens and put it on a cheap star tracker(SWSA 2i, iOptron skyguider pro etc). Much, much better start to AP
💀
Bro did not go easy
Anyway, thanks for the help, im pretty much sold on not buying it, the seller didnt even answer my questions!
Got a reply from the seller, they themselves told me that they dont recommend it for long exposure astrophotography
Not surprised tbh
how much was it listed for?
not sure how the used market is over in brazil, but i have found some dimes over here in the UK for that price
Couldnt find 2i's neither used nor new
Brazil is really tough if u really wanna get into astro
oh it's brazil, yeah it's one of those places where it's not easy to start
Idk if it's worth ordering from first light optics or high point scientific, not knowing how bad import fees are
Importing would add 60 usd, not worth it
