M81+M82 need NoiseX
i think the background extraction from graxpert did a number on the colors
Yea i cant get any nice colours out on it, most likely because i didnโt use a UV/IR cut filter
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UDf5pf9WhRNGW4UFCHTaB8l8XR6aNGjj/view?usp=drivesdk someone please use noiseX thanks ๐
noiseX does not handle this well at all ๐ฌ if anything it makes it worse lol
oh really? Itโs a shame, some nice details in the data but no uv/ir cut yet. Itโs on the way so iโll hope to get some better data later
i'm trying something else, dunno how well it'll work
I really clipped the background to try and conceal that noise.
i'm going to try and process the data from scratch and see what i can get
much better than mine, how did you manage to pull that blue out?
i really dialed back the red and green, and then increased saturation. i think i further tweaked each r/g/b channel in curves again to get it looking like that.
i can give you the raw stack if you want that
or raw data
the stacked result would be nice
uploading now
much much better than my original, care to share the tiff file?
Oh wow okay lol
one of the weird issues was starxterminator was removing little blocks of noise from the image, counting them as stars ๐
i didn't run any noisex on this
downloading now
how long was the integration on this, and what camera/scope did you use? (it looks like about 1100mm focal length with an imx571 camera)
it was 430mm focal length with a 585 sensor(uranus c pro and william optics zenithstar 73). About 2.5 hours no filter in twilight with 100% moon lol
Yea lol, massive stars and a big gradient, hoping to get some better data when my filter comes
i had a z61 and an asi183mc pro. another tiny pixel camera and my stars were insanely huge one night when i forgot the uv/ir filter ๐
iโve only had this setup for a bit, mabye 3-4 weeks so far. Gotten some nice detail out of targets but donโt have the integration time or filters to back it up. Iโve ordered my sv220 and a uv/ir cut coming tommorow, so hopefully they will be better ๐ค
that dualband will help a lot on emission nebula
integration time is what kills me also. i live on the east coast (usa) and we're under nearly constant cloud cover
Yea in the UK the night sky or sun canโt be seen, and we are heading for the wettest summer on record aswell
any better?
Thats no processing just stack and bg extraction
with short integration, the more you stretch the more noise you'll see. but other than that, it just needs color now. and you should see it get really .... interesting.
ill do a simple saturation slide up and show you
my pc just crashed trying to do starnet ๐๐
