A pretty easy process imo. No flats, no darks. Shot at iso 800. Also please let me know if you know how to batch scale CR2 files, bc i took flats, but they are all 2 pixels off which makes them unstackable for some reason. I just wanna see hwo much you guys can push it too, because I'm to scared too lol. (Mainly bc i can't correct that much noise). Good luck! have fun!

Your stars appear a bit out of focus, or maybe something else was going on. I really like the framing on this. Good job!
wdym 2px off?
cr2 files are weird. mine register sometimes as 6000x4000 but they're 6024x4020
I’ve had a Similar issue, I remember getting those stars a while ago when stacking wirh dss
ive never seen anything like it
and the non-stellar is tack sharp too which is the weird thing
Here is my stars I used to get
It’s for sure a DSS problem, been happening to me for a while but idk how to fix it.
Was in sharp focus the entire night and individual photos have normal stars when stretched
Like the other guy said I shot the lights in .fit on an asiair and then did flats in .cr2 on to the sd card bc asiair refuses to take more than 1 frame every 2 seconds. Just faster to shoot them straight on the cam. But the .cr2s came out as 2858 instead of 2860 pixels tall
only taking 1 frame every 2s??
is that because the exposure length is 2s?
its a shame that the stars appear like that, the data is incredibly clean (b1 moment) i really recommend trying siril or pix
or updating dss maybe? i remembered it got fixed with a newer dss update
blurx isnt doing the stars much justice either
yeah i tried but im sorry i could cure yours stars rip
I may just stack in siril today sometime, also nice work on the data!
No asiair just doesn’t, exposure length is normally like 0.2” Idk what’s wrong with it but it’s really annoying
what? are you using autorun?
Yup
