Tracking the moon

I recently got an eq mount and i was wondering if can track the moon if so how is this possible?

pretty sure as long as you polar allign it should still track the moon 🙂

it will devate a bit bit but you might just have to manually recenter every so often

probably wont be doing long exposures so should be fine

Select Lunar Tracking Rate:
The moon moves differently compared to the stars because of its orbit around Earth. Therefore, you need to set the mount to track the moon specifically.

Using the SynScan Hand Controller:
Press the Menu button: Navigate through the hand controller's menu system.
Go to Setup Mode: Select Setup or Setup Mode.
Select Tracking Rate: Navigate to Tracking Rate and press Enter.
Select Lunar: Choose Lunar from the options (other options usually include Sidereal, Solar, etc.). Press Enter to confirm.
