Wow, this is fantastic looking!! Really neat image, it almost looks like it was taken with an observatory.
How zoomed in is this, out of curiosity? Like how wide is the original uncropped image?
This is pretty much uncropped tbh
I'll grab the full FOV
one sec
Oh wow
Had a bit of field rotation issues so I had to crop
Wow! You should absolutely try M51 with that set up! Well, if you haven’t already!
I plan to, if it clears up again.
Would have done it on Sunday, but it was exactly at zenith so the field rotation was unusable.
Btw, would you bother sharing the data?
Can DM the data if you want it.
Yes, please!
I can't wait to see this with more data from this set up
@rocky fjord incredible photo! I always love trying deep space with my C14 but it always seems like there is to little stars for deep sky stacker to register it says, would you happen to know a way around this? I am at about 25 sec exposures since I am unguided
change the star detector threshold
Insane.

I had to use Astrosurface as DSS and SiriL didn't like the per-frame SNR
single sub...
what all challenges occur when shooting with such massive scope
?
why dont u try for sombrero ?
Too low altitude for me. I'm at 51.5°N
Set up can be annoying. It's pretty heavy.
but otherwise not many issues
Get an OAG lol
A big prism one at that
Do your 300+s exposures lol
i honestly didn't know u did deep space too, this is icredible though
I rarely do to be fair.
