This is a new nebula image for me, and possibly my all time favourite! love the details so much in this image (although not sure what happened to the spikes) sadly i lost alot of data because of the mount issues. HOWEVER i did find out its EQMOD freezing midway through a pulse, so the pulse would last 1-6s instead of 0.250s

What scope do u use? pretty sure its something to do with the spider vein
Not that ive seen, but the spider arms arent the strongest, so definitely a possibility
Its weird though the top left star has a really nice spike on it, while the middle ones dont
I use a cheap 6-inch newt.
I've already researched this problem.
It may be because the spider is not tightened enough, and those veins are not orthogonal.
Ahh i see, thats ok im gonna replace the spider later this year anyway
