On 4/20 i tried to image a galaxy for the first time, and failed because of heavy winds. But with lower winds and 16 pounds of iron on my lens plate, I tried again.
It turned out so much better than the last one, which I'll show below.

On both I used asi stacking program. I would be using DSS but it says it can't see enough stars in the image and will only stack one out of the 232 frames.
I can see plenty of stars in the sub but I was told it's because windows applied an auto stretch to them. When I open it in DSS i can see maybe one star even after messing with the pre stretch thing in to top right corner

I used photopea (some free online Photoshop) and tried to mess with the levels and contrast and whatnot
I honestly don't know what I'm doing but I'm messing with stuff until I see a galaxy 💀

yeah don't use photopea, maybe just for final touches. Download siril so you can do proper color calibration and stretching
