Take the window seat if you can, it's fun to look out at the cities and landscape

If you are on the shadow side of the plane, look out for a "glory." It's a rainbow-like phenomenon that forms on the opposite point from the Sun while you're above clouds

If you get planesick, I'd recommend looking farther out in the distance for less visual movement

Depending on location it can be an opportunity for folks to have a setup in a decent spot. Not really different from what scientists do worldwide really to access their big equip. Honestly, what’s a space telescope if it isn’t a remote telescope? The only thing that I really don’t like is that these places charge a monthly fee, which is completely understandable. However, that locks a lot of people out of being able to participate and see the night sky.. I actually wouldn’t mind if an organization got together and made remote telescopes available to all for free. Or if not to everybody for free then dedicate some to those people who would be financially restricted otherwise from being able to rent their own.

As far as remote, observing being cheating, well how many space telescopes does scientist have? If remote observation is cheating, then some of the biggest greatest about the universe were made by cheating. I feel like if you hold that position you’re diminishing the value of those observations.

Doesn’t matter for alignment purposes. Mount geometry means that targets in the south (where you will be doing most of your shooting) means you may not have to meridian flip.
Depends on your scope setup and imaging train though. Most rigs hang off the front more than the back.
