HOLY COW this is insane looking!! The clarity as you zoom in is absolutely top notch, so many milky way widefield images lose a lot of their clarity as you zoom in, but this is fantastic!!

You can easily make out individual nebulae laced within the arm band, and I love that the Large Magellanic Cloud just made its way into the left of the image too.

The mountain scenery in the background really brings the image together I think, what with the way the arm band wraps across the night sky and the scenery below doesn't impede it.

What an absolutely awe inspiring image, this is awesome!

Very impressive. If there is anything to critique I feel like the foreground/sky blending could be a bit better, maybe the color temperature of the mountains is ever so slightly too blue? But otherwise this is an incredible image, 100% one to be proud of

Yeah that's fair. The mountains have actually been masked with an orange gradient too make them less blue

Blending for this was quite a challenge tbh, more so than usual and i don't know why

Sorry if this is a very dumb question, but is the orangey-red color from light pollution? I've never seen any quite so vibrant so thought it might be something else?

Incredible! I stayed in Castle Hill in January and made sure to do some stargazing. Unfortunately, being on the other side of the world from my home, I couldn't bring any astronomy or photography equipment, but the skies were amazing and this photo absolutely does them justice.
