Great image, it looks like it's got a lot of untapped potential! Can you share the data? I'd like a crack at it!
Absolutely. Do you want the original files with no stack or just the stacked image? I can send you them at about 4pm Uk time.
Pardon my arrogance, what does untapped potential mean? 🙂
I see a lot of areas that I would've taken the data further myself, using my own technique.
At okay. Shall I send you the stacked image?
And could we go into a call so I can see how you do it. I need to improve on processing.
I cant do it for the next 2 days but I'm open on wednesday night and thursday.
Got work lol
Where you able to do it?
M81, M82 and NGC 3077
Hey did U get anything
Yeah sure
In the main image pre-blurX, you need to work on your focusing.
Framing is a bit odd, but the only gripe I have is the focus is very off.
You should invest in an EAF, and a coma corrector when you have the ability to.
The EAF will allow you to automatically focus based on FWHM averages vs a roughstimate via sharpness
The coma corrector should go without saying, and it might be that your collimation is off slightly.
Overall its actually pretty decent
Probably was
It's a shitty 4" visual scope with the primary mirror pushed
Isn't any real calibration issues beyond field wonkiness
Oh, interesting
Yeahh it'll do for now
Have you got a result?
Not really worth sharing, my processing technique doesnt really work on this data very well, since I go for naturalized color, it comes out bland
