Skywatcher Heritage 150p
Ursa Major 6" f/8
Apertura DT6
Bresser Messier 6"
Orion SkyQuest XT6
All of these are great, there's only slight differences between them. Generally just get whichever you can find at a better price that ships to you
Also look at the provided eyepieces etc because that's the main thing that changes between them
Also consider looking at the 8" versions of each of these. Sometimes they're not much more and can provide you with better views, but 6" is still perfectly fine
Thank you..I will have a look π ππ»
Many dobs on sale are actually just rebrands. GSO (Guan Sheng Optical) make mirrors and tubes for Sky-Watcher, Stellalyra, apertura, Ursa Major, etc. The optical quality on all of them is more or less the same since the mirrors come from the same factory. The difference is that the focuser, finder and sometimes mount are different with each manufacturer.
Key thing is to look out for a dob with a good two-speed Crawford focuser and ideally with a good, high quality mount
Some are also shipped with eyepieces of varying quality - however if you are a visual observer, itβs best to order some better ones
