Mine has to be NGC 2146! I find myself reprocessing alot of images, but this one just came out so perfectly i really wouldnt want to change it, so imo its my best image this year (:
creds to @mrsketchpad for processing
i feel like this is up there but...idk about the bg
Gotta be this one!
"Silver Sliver and Surrounding Galaxies"
I find myself always zooming in to see if I missed any galaxies hiding in between stars, such an awesome looking starfield as well! Love the look of this image.
I had a rough time getting to know all my gear and this is a failed mosaic , but I like it the most of all images I have taken this year
We all have failed projects, it’s part of the hobby! Carry on and make some awesome pics in 2024!
Btw easiest way to check for background galaxies is running starX
Im newer to the hobby this is my first year with everything but my favorite ive taken is my Orion Picture.
Nice you got some of the dust that’s in the area as well, keep going!
Thanks this was taken over i think 3-4 nights with the Vanois Vespera. Combining images with several of the filters. Which it went from Orange with the CLS filter on and slolwy with more duel band and without it became well more pink and purple. Which i thought looked nice. I do have a nice widefield image of the area as well with my dslr but i think this one here for me personally is my favorite partly because its the first one i processed through PI and the exterminator series of programs. :p
Also i really like your image im soon going to start my quest into narrowband once the stuff gets here and the skies clear out
Yup, took some of the smaller ones out unfortunately. Thought it would have done better looking a the showcase videos on YT.
I am so sad since I was about to finish my m78 project before 2024 but the moon said nah so for now its my ngc 891 pic
Even better pic. Still from Dec 31 lol
think this is the only good one i got lol
