Hello everyone im buying my first ever telescope! And astronomy is one of my new hobbies I really want to get into and with my budget of around 200/250€. And after a lot of research on what were the best or at least the ones who would give me the most guarantees I landed on 2 scopes that im torn between which are the 2 I listed in the title, the Evostar 90/900 refractor and the Explorer 130/900 reflector, I do have an intrest in deeping my toes into astrophotography has I do already own a DSLR, im still figuring out the adapters I might need.
So I wanted to know your guys' suggestion on which I should get.
Any help is really apreciatted!

Ur plan on astrophotography won't work well
With such a low budget you either have to choose if you want to do visual astronomy or astrophotography. For visual get a 5" dobsonian, which is very good (at your budget) but the thing about dobsonians is they are very bad for photographing deepsky
So yeah
Im aware of that, I want something mainly visual but that will alow me to start learning and figuring out things about astrophotography. And that with a couple of upgrades in the future it could become a really nice rig
probably used the only option for that budget unfortunately
Tbh I never thought of that, I am limited as I live in Portugal and its a very, very, very niche hobby here, I will check some websites and try and see what I can find
Not exactly what I was looking for but just found a 152/1200 Dobsonian for 250€ 😄
And also found the exact same 130/900 newtonian I was looking at for only 100€
also just found these motor drives that are pretty cheap that help counter earths rotation, that seems like a really nice adition if I were to get the newtonian
Those motor drives are only for eq mounts right?
The 150mm dob would be best for visual compared to the 130
Yeah the newtonian I was looking at is an EQ-2 mount
Thank you for the help, I think im gonna go for the newtonian, as good as the dob would be, visually, one of the main reasons I was getting a scope was to get into astrophotography with my dad,its one of the reasons I was so excited about it.
