Took about 37 mins of M82 and M81, only darks and bias frames no flats. I do not have the field flattener yet and because I couldn't get my guiding to work my target drifted to the top right where stars got stretched out. Im not really good at processing either so here is my best attempt! I'm open to hear more tips to make my image look better!

You can use Siril's background extraction tool to even out that gradient. Besides that the image is looking great, especially the Cigar galaxy.
Reprocessed using SIRIL, i love it but there is a wierd color thingy going on, Is this caused by me not dithering?
Hmm, maybe try color calibration
didnt let me
It said plate solving failed
Maybe try the other one
Highlight the background and then highlight a white area like the core of bodes galaxy
Did you input the focal length and pixel size?
Nows it all red
I used color calibration
Maybe try this. For the top one highlight a mostly empty bakcground area, and for the bottom one highlight a bright area of one of the galaxies
its the one above photometric
The color banding is still visible
darn, i dont know what would cause that
will probably go away if I dithered and used more images
Its my first image and im still very happy that I can see the galaxies
Thank you for all the help!
your image is actually better than my best, great work so far
