Ever since this gallery has changed to the new format, I can’t get my photos to show up as a preview. When I upload a photo it’s just shows up as an attachment to my post. I’m well below the file size limit. Is there some setting somewhere I need to change? Or is dropping and dragging the photos not the way to get then to show up properly? I’ve been asking this question in the general chat several times and received no response. Can someone PLEASE give me some advice on what I might be doing wrong?
#How are you all getting your photos to show up as previews in this gallery???

Drag and drop should work? I've never had any issues with this format. I have no idea.
@nova glade If it’s part of the initial post the image will be shown in the gallery. Can you please post an example file?
I just tried posting again. It's the NA nebula post that just went up.
What are you posting with? Discord app? Mobile? Desktop? Do you have the latest updates? If in a browser, try disabling extensions and see if it works, sometimes those can mess up things.
If that doesn’t do the trick, you might need to contact Discord support, maybe you’re hitting a genuine bug.
@nova glade i figured it out. Your images are too big. Discord will not embed files larger than a certain pixel size. Looks to me like your photos are drizzled at 12000 pixels wide. Resample your image down by 2, and it should work.
Again, it's not file size.. Just dimensions.
Also @high tendon ^ in case you see this come up again.
Thx
None of these platforms apparently have astrophotographers on their UX design teams (“10,000 pixels outta be enough for anybody!”)
I don't know the official number when it comes to dimensions, but he should be fine at 6k wide.
I can upload images that are 47MP fine (over 8,000px wide)
(I closed the test post)

Ah! It was the width of the photo then. Thank you!!!!
