i think you should consider a dobsonian only if you dont care about portability since they are quite big. They also have a much larger mirror for the price and therefore collect more light giving a more detailed image. Only issue is they arent very good for DSO astrophotography but are pretty good for planetary.

but for visual its probably better than the 130mm

Celestron 130slt would be better because it enable tracking, but if you buy this you will miss out a lot of larger telescope

There is way to improve stability is to buy the anti vibration pad, and not extend the legs of the tripod

problem with the tripods and beginners is that most of them are cheap and wobbly and make observing basically impossible so they put people off the hobby

im not sure as im kinda a beginner too but i think the scopes that have tracking will have a decent tripod

@faint river tripod is probably less stable than a dob mount.
