#how to take pics of Galaxy in high light polluted area

So I live in a bortle 7-8 place and I'm not sure the best way to take pics of the galaxy given this fact. I have a filter for nebulas but it does not seem to help, removes like 90% of the details for places like Andromeda

galaxies are broadband targets

you cant really use filters on them unless you are doing narrowband

so, since its a broadband target, you need to get out of the city

getting very long integration times will help a lot

although nothing really will compensate for dark skies, so get out of the city where possible like the other comments have suggested
