far from good in general, especially bad for astrophotography
Oh that’s a shame, thank you though
theres often a misconception between astrophotography and visual astro
astrophotography is the actualy photography and visual is looking through tthe eye piece
Planetary or deep space photography? What’s your maximum budget?
Ideally deep space photography but I know it is expensive, I don’t have a lot of money I am a broke university student lol @opaque forum
You can get a very solid setup for about $1200 ish with some used gear.
You can also start out with a basic DSLR and a cheap star tracker, however i used this gear and quickly outgrew it.
Could you provide any links to things your suggest I honestly don’t know a lot
Whats your budget?
Get a skywatcher 150p if it's in your budget
nah you also need the mount for one. the dob isnt amazing for astrophotography
Yeah with eq3
I could probably spend about £500 at the moment
Honestly, get a dslr/mirrorless and a tripod along with a star tracker
If dso is all you want, that's all you need
Or if you want to save money, dslr and tripid
There's quite a few startracker for like 250 on the used market. Decent DSLR and prime telephoto lens could, with a bit of searching and patience, work out for the rest of the budget.
I have the Celeste on 4se mount at home but I can never get the computerised mount to work so its never been able to track
