First time trying AstroPhotography... no clue if i even got anything. Anyone wanna see if there is anything here?
135mm untracked, 700x2.5sec. 50 of dark flat and bias used in stacking. Shot in bortle 5 (edited)
Weird, I have a problem with opening the file... in GIMP it sais "no TIFF-image, or the image is defect".
PS: Can you open the file?
You didn't miss the target and you got some signal!
Wow I had no idea it looked like that. That’s great! I’m assuming a lot of the red is hard to get with a standard camera without being Astro modified?
Well, I think it depends on the exposure time and the bortle scala for getting some red. Here's an example of the cygnus wall I shot from b 3 skies (non astro-modified cam) . I got about 40 mins of exposure time . So I think it's defenitly possible getting some red without the camera being astro-modified.
I've gotten the red with my stock camera
Was it tracked? Mabye the key to capturing some red is taking longer exposures.
@inner tendon how much exposure time did you gather?
Worst part of my camera is the internal intervalometer maxes at 9 shots in a row, then I change back to continuous mode and do 9 more. Haha over and over
But like how much time it was in the end?
