Regarding what you want to do with it it can be a great little telescope. Mostly for visual, as they tend to be in the slower F rate and have a long focal lenght they would be at most really good for Planetary observation or photography

Sometimes there is a 6" or 8" Dob used for this price or less, wich would be a lot better option

okay thanks! only thing i am unsure of with dobs is there size as i rented one for a night and could tell that if i owned it it would not be used much.

Thats a point, for visual the Telescope is ok, but as i said mostly for Planetary

I would still get a 5" or a 6" dob it's gonna be way better
