What scope are you going to use with it ?

#

Also do you usualy crop your final pictures ?

  • the asi183 is better suited for the z73 due to its smaller pixels (the 533mc is still a good match but in better seeing the 183 wins)

  • the 183 has amp glow and the 533 doesn't
(amp glow can be calibrated out)

  • the 533 have is 14bit while the 183 is 12 bit

  • reminder that the 533 has a square sensor (doesn't really matter imo)

  • The 533 has a much better full well capacity.
    533 has 50000e and the 183 has 15000e
(well capacity will effect how much light you can gather per a sub until you get bloated stars)

Imo go for the 533mc. I have heard nothing but good things about it

What tomaz said. It’s better than thee 183 with the only “downside” being the square sensor

@weary agate a square sensor is not a down side, nearly every one crops their pictures even if its just to post them on social media so even if it was a round sensor it wouldnt mater

@weary agate ahhhh i see, its just i own a 533mc pro and i love that little square sensor.

#

@weary agate i just thought, round sensor, why havent we got this yet ? Our telescopes are round, jeez most of our camera bodys are round so lets fill up that space make the sensor round.
