Hi, this is my data of Andromeda, I collected yesterday, and the day before, so with 70% Moon. Probably this data is really bad, but if you want to try relatively difficult data (relatively much CA)... I also put the stacking-refereference-image, and one stack with 3x drizzle into the drive folder. My lens, I use with a Nikon Z50, is at 250mm F6.3. I'll try it out!
I'm having issues color calibrating it. So I can't do much
its not bad data at all
i tried it
yeah as i said
not bad data at all
Google Docs
Ur welcome
I processed it in siril
Background extraction made a big difference
Thank you. It looks really good. The noise seems to be a big problem, so I need more data (its my longest exposed image, but the small aperture is just annoying).
My own edit is a bit cheated, because I erased noise from the starless layer, so its somehow faked
Just played lil bit with editing, not sure if it looks good or no
It looks really good. Is it possible, that you removed the noise from the one layer? There's much more noise in it. Or did you a edit on my edit? That would explain, why it looks so, and its a bit cheating...
The latter yeah, didnt had my pc handy atm
All I did was auto stretch, photometric colour calibration, crop, background extraction , histogram transformation and then messed with the curves in Siril using that tif file in the drive link
This file
Yes, thats the normal stack without drizzle...
@subtle moon this was really difficult to get much out of to be honest. There was nt much separation between the galaxy and background (Probably something to do with the moon ngl) My process isnt great but it was definitely really difficult to get something out of lol either way hope u enjoy
Wow you got out so much detail 🤯 . Yeah the data is really bad. One problem is the moon, and the other the trailing stars... I have to work a bit on my tracking.
Didnt notice any star trails just coma in the top right corner tbh
Gonna try out your bodes aswell
Ok thank you. Yes the lens is a Kit-lens... maybe I have to step a bit down, but I'm already at F6.3... When I go down to F7 or F8 I don't get any photons anymore...
Yeah kit lenses arent amazing although wasnt much CA tbh and yeah F7-8 or higher you want quite long subs which can be difficult if unguided
I probably get guiding working in less than a half year. My tracker is DIY, so its possible, but time consuming.
Ahh damn i couldnt make something like that so nice!
If you wait some minutees, I'd upload bodes galaxy with 3x drizzle, but I'm not so sure, if it makes such a big difference.
