Hi

I am planning to get a second hand telescope for mostly visual astronomy as my first scope. I will be happy if I can see the rings of Saturn and Orion Nebulae.

Out of the two which one would you recommend?

  1. 70/700 az2 ($100)
  2. 102/500 achromatic az3 ($200)

Thanks

Dont buy the 70/700 az2
I Have the same one but from omegon, And lets be honest Its not good, Its ok for moon And Sun Maybe, but for other planets Its not that good, So rather save up for something better

But if u have 200$ to spend spend it on a skywatcher 130p or 150p

#

They work better than these scopes for planetary viewing

With that horrible az2 mount yes

#

If u can get the scope with anyother mount it is not a bad deal

#

It will keep you happy for some time but a skywatcher 130p is better for the price
