well, that depends on what you already have. if you have a dslr already, that would make the process much easier.

#

i dont have a dedicated camera, only my iphone

scenic spindle
#

ok if you dont have a camera that puts you in a tough spot

pliant wedge
#

yeah

#

i dont know if im going to take a lot of photos, i just want good views

scenic spindle
#

i mean you want relatively high focal length for planets and galaxies, so that helps

scenic spindle
#

get a skywatcher heritage 150p

pliant wedge
#

thank you, ill look into it!

scenic spindle
#

it can be used for photography if you choose to get a camera later, but there would be some challenges

#

and with your phone youll be able to do some basic planetary astrophotography

low compass
#

Heritage 150p yes

scenic spindle
vivid moon
#

500-700?

#

I bought 8SE

#

With wedge as well

scenic spindle
#

Oh damn ok, deep sky or planetary?

vivid moon
#

But I still haven’t hook edge up yet

#

I want do both ish

#

But Mostly deep

scenic spindle
#

And since that’s on the low end of your budget you should get the cooling system with it

vivid moon
#

Looks hot

scenic spindle
#

The ASI585MC is similar if you want to use asi air

#

But if you don’t need zwo products then the uranus c is better

vivid moon
#

I will definitely look into it, most likely I get it

#

I’m still trying figure out if I want buy anymore eye piece

#

I bought 8-24 mm

scenic spindle
#

Good. It’s a great camera to keep around, although keep in mind that for deep space you will want a different camera eventually

vivid moon
#

Yeah for sure, any suggestions

#

Or telescope

#

I see, I do appreciate this information. What would be a good suggestion for mount ?

scenic spindle
vivid moon
#

I been seeking support on this matter,

#

Oh wow it’s around 2k

#

😂

#

Definitely in future

scenic spindle
#

Yeah good mounts are pricey

#

So I would say keep that one until you can get the eq6r, I wouldn’t really recommend any smaller mount than that

vivid moon
#

Copy, thank you so much.

scenic spindle
#

The other thing you might want to think about is guiding, that telescope has a very long focal length so guiding would help a lot with tracking

#

Again not something to worry about right off the bat, but once you decide to get it, it would cost about $200-300 to add

vivid moon
#

Which one would you suggest

#

I’m planning to purchase reducer of 6.3

#

Like today actually

scenic spindle
#

The OAG will basically send a little bit of the light into the guide camera, then the camera will look at the stars to make sure that the tracking is good

vivid moon
#

Oh I see, but I should do that when I get a better mount

#

Due to weight right

scenic spindle
#

In other words, guiding solves all of the problems it creates

vivid moon
#

I see

#

Luckily asi224 is cheap

#

I thought it would be expensive tbh

scenic spindle
#

Not as good as the Uranus c

#

Actually the Uranus C works great as a guide camera, but if you’re using it as the main camera it can’t also do guiding

vivid moon
#

Sounds good, how about any eye piece ?

#

Is 8-24 mm good from celestron

scenic spindle
#

I’m not really an expert on eyepieces

vivid moon
#

Thanks man, I really do appreciate your feedback. I’m actually looking to get the camera soon as well. Your wisdom is well appreciated
