Hello everyone!

I am in the process of buying a 2. telescope and I am kind of lost. With my current telescope I am able to see the moon and some planets. But I would like to step it up a bit and start gazing nebulas and galaxies and take pictures of them. I already have Star adventurer 2i pro (I took pictures with my camera) but now I would like a versatile telescope to fit all my needs. I am aware that there is no such thing for my budget of around 700 euros, but still if anyone has any recommendations in that direction I would be really grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Can't do visual and astrophotography at the same time for that budget unfortunately

What is your current telescope? Since you already have a small mount maybe getting a small refractor for astrophotography is a good idea? Im not a DSO astrophotography person through.

You have to decide what you want, visual or astropotography

I know, I know, I understand. In that case I am always leaning more towards visual.

The dslr will be good for deepsky astrophotography and the dobsonian will be good for visual use

#

With the star adventurer you can't realllyyy image galaxies, because most are small and require more focal lenght anyways

#

Which the star adventurer doesn't really allow

#

Now that i read ur text u said u have a camera, is that a dslr?

#

It's going to be tricky then, because a decent telescope for astrophotography is 700€, and you won't be able to use it for visual

Yes my camera is a dslr. That's why everything is either or hah.

@fossil vault I had the same issues as you and here's what I did:
I bought the heritage 130 dob and an asi224mc

#

450€ total

#

+barlow if you want

#

It's untracked so short subs only though...

#

With 700€ you could buy a better dob and a camera with a larger sensor

Here's what I've been able to do with it
