@gentle salmon Player one Ceres C for $150
It's IMX 224 will do not only good planetary imaging but (probably) good guiding
25% discount over the ASI224MC
It is only 1.25", however from what I hear you dont really lose any FOV over the ASI224mc because of how small the sensor is.
If you can find one used they are probably even cheaper
After re reading the forum post I realized you might have been looking for one used in the first place
I use the sv106 and sv105
Yeah. Trying to find it used.
how is the 105? i am considering it but i am worried it will cause more problems than it will solve
it works fine
something I found out when trying to use it, is you need to set it up as a webcam in phd2
Ceres c rly isn't that good
Fine for guiding, eh for planetary
Get a mars c or asi 120mc
asi120mc nooo
anythings better than svbony
diss svbony all you want
but you did not just recommend a asi 120 over imx224
the asi 120 is simply inferior
a bad camera? its ok def not better than 224
Gotcha. I have the 120 but know nothing about the 224
no problem
how is the 224 vs the 120?
miles better
good
Ceres C uses IMX 224, same sensor as ASI224MC. it is part of Player one Astronomy's guiding cameras. It is 1.25" instead of 2" though
Although I personally don't have a Ceres C, from people who do have it I have heard being 1.25" doesnt limit FOV because of the small sensor
Looks like i will get the bresser guidecam with imx225 (basically the same as 224) . Its the cheapest you can get in EU
