ok
trying to read about stuff right now
trying to figure out if I could use reducer on a mak
ill process while ill read
trying to do galaxy season on a budget
with a star tracker
this spring
fr
the answer is probably no
maksutov reducers dont exist
and standard 0.5x reducers suck
Rip
420mm, 2.9um
its all just so slow
plus such a high focal length
your measly tiny little tracker cant handle it
yep
i only need about 600mm anyways
ideas?
also im processing your stuff while we talk about this just so you know
600mm is tough
Fracs usually can give you that focal length
But the cheap ones mean hefty CA
What mount are you using
skyguider pro, trying to get a junky laptop so I can get into guiding
my windows vista is garbage and can't support anything
cant even run an internet browser on it
wanted to get my brother's old one but its shattered to pieces
could do it with a mobile device but would need wireless connection and im not paying for an asi air
Running my SWSA 2i (guided) at 420mm right now with 3 minute subs. Gonna try to do some things with my Canon M50 which would apply the 1.6 crop factor so that makes 672mm.
Not gonna mess around with that tonight, but I (hopefully) will somewhere in the next couple of weeks.
man wowow, this looks nice
you have b9 there in london?
Yes
my try
I know I'm late, but i'm kinda proud of myself.
Nice, have you tried MMT to try to remove the high gain noise?
nice data @obsidian vortex
my cigar doesn't look great but it was just a quick process
Here's my attempt @obsidian vortex
Very nice colours
Im guessing you’re using pix
Maskedstretch is so nice for galaxies
Forgot to SCNR, this is better
Yes I use PI, but I've compared many stretches and 99% of the time use Ez Soft Stretch
Ah interesting
Im stuck with PS so I have horrible stretches for galaxies
Very nice process though
Thanks, decent data
B9 is a bitch
