Hi,
I'm relatively new want to do some DP. The telescope has a focal length of 1400 mm, but the seller says, that it is possible to reduce it to 750 mm.
Included (if I understood it correctly) is:
the 6 inch Newton
an EQ3 with single axis drive corrector
finderscope
Plössl eyepieces
2x barlow
reverse lens
moon filter
So this a good deal? I've never had a telescope before.

@prime stag Propably better would be eq 5 pro or eqm 35 pro as a mount, beacause this telescope is too big for eq3. Telescope has too long focal length resulting in high f ratio.

It's a bird jones style telescope, essentially it's got an extra optical element which "doubles" the focal length, but they're notorious for degrading image quality

It's an EQ3 "heavy" basically an EQ2+

you can easily spot them by the extra long focuser tube, there's an integrated barlow in there which is what makes it so bad

Ok thank you. I already plan for a while to buy a Canon EOS M6 Mark II, I can use then for AP too. Im a bit disappointed, that it wasnt reduced today.

I think a Roki 135 can be used with small mounts too. Thats probably the best upgrade then
