You’ll need a m-mount adaptor. You can find them on aliexpress and such.
Thanks picked one up of amazon. I assume if my back focus was correct with my xsi it will be with the ef-m t ring aswell ( the flatnner reducer is adjustable also)
The ones like this will have the correct back focus
You can also get adapter rings like this, which don’t have the correct back focus but depending on what you’re doing that may be what you want
is there still time to return the m5
how much did you pay for it and are you going to use it for only astro or what
Astro mainly. Paid 250 pounds @dawn thorn
Is the M5 bad? Thought it was supposed to be Ok. At least it has a bulb mode, unlike my M10.
The reviews I've read have said it has a decent sensor. ( think I read its the same as the 80d) @minor anvil
Yeah, the sensor’s the same as the conventional DSLRs but in a smaller package. Trouble with that range is that they were hobbled by terrible Powershot firmware but IIRC the M5 and M50 escaped that.
Fantastic either way its a huge upgrade over the rebel xs I currently use @minor anvil
ehh I don't think it's really worth the price
the nikon d5300 has a better sensor and is cheaper
just a dslr if you care about that
d5300 also has raw compression tho
I'd get a newer nikon where you can at least turn that off
i heard pix can remove weird sensor stuff on the d5300 but idk
It can be iffy
I’ve seen some that it can’t get out
