ZZZ and Genshin are.... weird when it comes to their drip markets.

Idk how Hi3 does it, but we all it's not rare for HSR to just flat out tell you the rarities upon revealing them.

In GI you don't even 'know' what they are unless you're looking at leaks, esp with leak footage being the dead giveaway when their characters use Ultimates/Bursts (5*s do a closeup animation). The only official source they'd reveal it at is in their livestreams in the meantime.

Meanwhile ZZZ I can't even tell the difference at a glance, and the gameplay footage between the A and S rank Agents are largely 'equal' at a glance (their ultimates have the same presentation). Their drip market tweets aren't any different from the rest of the characters either.

Belle & Wise are already my favorite Hoyo protags compared to Traveler or Trailblazer (not that I don’t appreciate Traveler from time to time).

The starting cast is very gud. Very nice presentation.

Still need tog et used to the UI.

Haven’t really immersed myself in the gameplay that much tho. But early game is funky.

just letting me physically control a character and walk around an environment feels the best to me

I like both quite so far. Exploration has honestly been getting much finer at getting broken down to manageable bits further thanks to encounter points. I never really feel that compelled to get that cinch done, and quite enjoy it that way myself. (The compass getting updated also been a great help.) I just will rarely be assed to go 100% with the intention.

ZZZ also has some makings for a decent aside game to not be as much as a ‘time shill’ as early genshin was too. TV modes are also fairly simple for me. Whereas with WuWa idk if I’d have the drive to run another live service open world gacha as it is.

Yeah... mechanics wise, there's not much (if any) difference, but it's the feeling of choice/interaction (however limited it may be) that adds to the immersion

It also doesn’t help that the cutscenes won’t always show you the ‘story’ that goes on in the TV levels also.

I can get behind watching walkthrough or play through footage but cutscenes alone are kinda iffy territory for me personally.

like no joke, Zhu Yuan's W engine is like 2 or 3 % better than the fucking starlight engine which is funny

Qingyi's is worth it tho cause it's a "supporty" W engine

but the dps ones are garbo

Elen's is fine ish cause it gives a fuckton of crit but otherwise starlight still better

Each of the miltary-esque factions and the "police" force all seem to be fairly independent of each other in frictiony sort of stalemate, with a bunch of smaller armed factions and lone wolfs (like Proxies) mixed in
