goose game is basically a silly puzzle game in a way? youre playing as a goose around a small town and have tasks you need to fulfill, which involve stealing items from the townsfolk or messing with them
it takes two and a way out are narrative games (or well, it takes two is a bit of hodgepodge of genres) that were made by the same company and have the same main gimmick where the story follows 2 characters that are controlled by 2 players playing together and have to cooperate during gameplay

grip combat racing is a racing game that makes use of its environment, from the trailer i saw it has cylindrical tracks you can spin around on

do you mean every single game hoyo made post-Honkai 3rd?

not saying people are wrong to enjoy them or anything
genshin has exploration and chill fairy tale vibe
HSR is a funny space advventure with some heavy stuff hidden here and there
ZZZ so far is uh... funky animations, expressive combat and nice music

but for character development...
from what i've seen, unless hoyo specifically focuses on a bunch of important characters, all of them generally have close to none

i.e. HI3rd main three and the Flame-chasers
genshin's Scaramouche

HSR seems to focus a lot on the Express crew, but so far only us and Dan Heng had some sort of character arc

zzz is just too early for that to be clear though

my favorite part of HI3rd's character development tho
apparently after all Theresa has went through, now she's sleep-deprived as hell

That’s because Hi3 is akin to Limbus.
It strictly follows a core set cast primarily on these said characters, largely with several variations of them. (Though Hi3 does add some more down the road they’re relatively fewer than the amount GI has rn, HSR continues to splurge out, and eventually ZZZ).

The latter games are more on selling newer characters as their main marketing point. Which means not everyone is going to get an equal amount of coverage or even consistent development that’s immediately apparently. Namely, Xiao and even moreso Wanderer as of late. Beyond these fewer characters, it’s the ‘main players’ that get the most beef cooked surrounding them. However how this gets handled long term varies on the game. But it can be a good while before you see a certain fav major character getting some deep focus once again.

Which is at least sth I’ll give HSR so credit for in which it ‘revists’ certain previous areas story wise more frequently than Hoyo’s other games for pseudo MSQ related matters. Even if I have certain grievances over their choice in handling characters in spite of that.
