Though one common critique I hear for HI3 is how 'spaced out' a lot of extended content is. Moreso with its plenty of spin-offs. Granted, I think you can say that for just about any big enough series that has spin-offs to branch off of.

if you mean visiting previous places, this idea is a bit opposing to the roadside adventure way of storytelling. The whole genre usually makes it so that heroes only visit a place once, and revisiting is used mostly as a fan-service. So it would be a bit against expectations. Now, nobody prohibits it, but if you don't meet expectations of a genre, then as an author you need to exceed these expectations in some new way, which is hard

Mostly cause you don't have to worry about stats or anything like that for like 90% of genshin, meanwhile you have to worry about them in hsr fairly early on, cause that's the entire gameplay
