I left my team on auto while they did farming for swords and when I'd check back in I'd often have 4-5 skill points

Because his ult basically refunds 2 of them when he uses a fully charged NA

And with tingyun's charging capabilities, that effectively makes him use only 1 sp every/other turn

With the way people have complained about it, they make it sound like he has to use 3 sp EVERY time he uses a fully charged NA

From my (albeit short) experience with it, relatively the only time he'll be using more than 1 sp is if he hasn't used his ult beforehand

So essentially, if you have good er on him and stuff, that's effectively only during his first turn of the game unless something goes awry

Is it me or HSR lore feels so complicated, I just play the main story and play for fun. Rather than deep diving like I do for Genshin and HI3.

@island_xd imo it's actually less complicated.

the issue is that most of the lore feels inconsequential because it's planet specific and the planets don't feel that interconnected yet. they feel more isolated than the nations in genshin. and we spend less time with/on them.

For me at least, it runs into the conundrum a lot of manhuas (chinese web comics) run into: Having to know what X Y and Z are before you can understand what A is, and burying information below layer after layer of metaphor and analogy

It just makes the barrier to beginning to understand anything so high that most of the time I just cant be bothered

There's very little that's given in plain English.

Genshin is guilty of this too sometimes, but for the most part there's always a plain-text/simple English version of something somewhere for most of the major lore

artifacts, leveling materials, enemy drops, quest items, etc

whereas, and i still love it regardless, the item descriptions and stuff in hsr are just funny quips and things

but doesn't really flesh out anything lore-wise like with genshin

basically, because i've barely looked at the lore to hsr, all i know is belebog was struck with an eternal frost, the stellaron was talking to the leader in her mind, and big robots were used during a war

i know even less about xianzhou

too many commissions to count and keep track of and too much blah stuff being forced in

and this may be because of my bias for the character, but the only time i've been genuinely invested in the main story quest (outside of cutscenes because hell yeah who doesn't love a good cutscene?) was near the end when we got to the harbor landing where we meet kafka and blade and dan heng gets stabbed and subsequently transforms into imbibitor lunae and just... keeps saying he's not who jing yuan thinks he is 😭

and stuff after that

i just learned apparently the stone lions in the seat of divine foresight are "alive" and willingly hide their limbs inside of the pedestals they sit on and each one has a name that they largely only share before fighting an opponent per tradition of martial arts ethics

as someone that enjoys genshin plot, characters, and lore (not tooo excessively), what does HI3 offer?
I assume:
A more vocal protag: Call me an oddball, but I like Traveler + Paimon just fine and they don't subtract my enjoyment at all, but they're clearly on a video game standard that doesn't exactly add too much (or at least not always consistently) compared to others understandably.
a more overall developed cast: Genshin's has a lot of characters to introduce so not all of them are going to be equally fleshed out whereas HI3 focuses on releasing more variants of existing characters in different stages of their lives/versions

does anything else stand out?
Asking moreso bc HSR personally doesn't really offer a lot of things I expected it to on this area.
