I’ll be honest… this felt oddly … bothersome to read for various reasons. Esp with the extra mile needed to get a solid grasp of borrowed terms in the first place if these were the only instances they were mentioned. And not even Himeko’s dialogue examples provided give the core idea compared to mats that go into more essential detail you’d expect the game wants you to know from the getgo. Otherwise it comes off as largely misleading. I’ll want to give it the benefit of the doubt and hope this is covered or laid out better clearly in the story, but with how this article goes about I personally can’t say I’m the biggest fan of the approach. I’m probably being unfair about it (to top it off with the ludonarrative dissonance the story already has with the Express “not going back”).

I'm not so sure about that. One trait that describes those on the Path of Destruction is recklessness, which the pair (especially Clara) has plenty of. Svarog also has a tendency to solve problems through destructive means (forcibly taking the geomarrow, letting Cocolia kill off the overworld, eliminating anyone who knows about Stellarons, etc.). Also, as far as I can tell there's no indication that you can't be on multiple paths at the same time.

it’s iffy for me cuz there’s some overlap with Preservation too. Svarog doesn’t “admire” destruction as much as he’s willing to make sacrifices he deems need to be taken to save what’s possible.

I don't know if anyone of you have read The Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson, but it had an interesting concept where the books would span multiple eras and the characters would die and become part of myths and legends of old, while the setting undergoes a decent amount of technological progression
