there was a customer who came into the store one day, he was a regular and didn't know any english whatsoever and i pissed him off one day because there was a lack of effective communication because the only english he knew was "hi"

and i couldn't understand a lick of chinese

mandarin, cantonese, or other

and so he got wicked fucking frustrated with me

and i was getting anxious

and then he brought someone in later to be a translator who was effective enough in english but wasn't able to convey to him that what he was accusing me of didn't happen and we couldn't check tapes because our manager needed permission from asset protection

basically what happened is he handed me a $10 bill for $20 worth of lottery tickets

but when i balanced the tray we were short

which meant i handed him out an extra $10 worth of lottery tickets

but because he refused to believe that

he'd glare at me
