For one, we recommend you turn on pings for this channel as it will be your one stop for learning about new updates in rules or policy. Any moderation updates will be relayed here.
This channel will now operate as a "notice board" with updates regarding rule changes, stance changes, or verbal updates, being published with notifications so that people have the chance to be informed of any changes to our system. With this, we will also permit a 48 hour grace period between the time of publishing and when we begin officially reprimanding people for breaching a rule. If you breach the rule within the 48 hours, we will remind you to check this channel. Next, we'd like to take this opportunity to inform you all of our most recent and final stance regarding Rule 2.4 (copypasta) of our Server Rules. After much discussion, our team's final verdict will be:
Copypastas will only be allowed so long as they don't take up the screen, aren't NSFW/NSFL, and do not encourage bullying or targeting of other members or people.
That said, if a channel is engaging in excessive copypasta, you may be verballed by a mod to cut it out and find something else to occupy yourselves with. We will also give members a moment to read that verbal and refresh same if necessary prior to taking any full action. Once again, thanks for your understanding and patience regarding this and feel free to contact Modmail or Head Modmail for any clarification.
This has also been updated in our rules, here's a side-by-side comparison for reference.
Last but not least, we wanted to remind everyone of Rule 2.1 of our server rules. While we understand the line may be difficult to draw especially when things become habit, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you all that our mods are server members too, and we're just as human as everyone else. Constant passive-aggressive or disrespectful memes holding mods in a bad regard or putting them down over small incidents will not be tolerated and we will be treating cases of such, unless reported in Head Modmail with genuine concern, as breaches of Rule 2.1. Members who constantly target mods or the team as an entirety will be subject to formal reprimands. To clarify, moderators and staff were always included under Rule 2.1, but this is just to ensure that you are all aware.
Again, we're also just people and we also screw up sometimes, so we just ask that you be patient with us sometimes because at the end of the day we're here voluntarily and because we want to help you.

Hello everyone! We are here with 2 announcements:
To start off with rules changes, we have additions to following rules:
Rule 2 now specifies sharing reprimands and/or modmails. While it is not against rules to share it, please be mindful of the results and whether screenshots are shared for genuine reasons or to provoke arguments. If arguments escalate, both the member that shared screenshots and participants in discussion will be subjected to reprimands if the situation calls for it.
Rule 3 has addition regarding bypasses that will hopefully make things more clear for the members: it specifies use of alternative spellings or emojis and when it is reprimandable.
New rule 5 regarding spoilers: While this was always in use in form of Spoiler Hunt Degree, now it's added to our official rules. Rule will still be active only through the first 2 weeks of new content in Genshin / HSR / Wuwa / ZZZ.

While we're at it, we would like to announce that we're opening up an availability to appeal for a warning regarding words from the automatic warn list which aren't on that part of the list anymore. This means that, if you've been formally automatically warned in the past for a word that used to be on the automatic warn list at the time, but is no longer on that part of the banned words list anymore (and is now automatically deleted or completely removed from the list), you're free to appeal to get your formal warning deleted from your warn history. We will be linking the oldest version of the banned words list down below, as well as the latest, in which you can compare the two and see which words have been added/removed from the list, in case you're suspecting you've been formally warned for a word that's not on the current list anymore. If you happen to find one of those cases, you're free to appeal in @jovial wharf.

Hello everyone - we're coming forward with yet another update on the moderation team! Introducing moderation team strikes - a place, specifically a document, where all your favorite (or least favorite) mods/head mods/admins can get strikes, only today, at a discount price!
Joke aside, we're aware we've had some serious misbehavior on the mod team in the past, and have therefore decided to introduce a system of rules that'd help both us and all of you to keep up with the mod team, as well as improve transparency and unprofessionalism that stems from the mod team once in a while. We hoped to cover most of the bigger issues that came along with being a moderator in such a big server, as well as all the potential disputes that could happen between the mod team and the community. We would also like to announce the public anonymous feedback form, in which you'll be able to freely submit feedback to the team without having to expose who you are against your will, like in case of modmails/head modmails. The HFG/FM team would kindly appreciate providing as much information and detail as possible when reporting a specific person/situation. It's really important for us to have full context before making a conclusion or taking action, since we really aren't omnipresent and don't always have all information regarding specific topics. If you have anything to report, but lack detail, it's better to wait and collect all necessary detail to make a report than submit reports in bits and pieces.

Hi guys! We've been thinking of promoting new senior moderators for a while now and we think we've had some good candidates for the position lately. Therefore, we would like to congratulate @foggy pecan and @jolly mason for getting the position of Senior Funeral Guards! Aside from the type of work they've been doing so far, we've decided it'd be fit for them to take up more responsibilities on the mod team, which would include them participating in Trial Guard promotions/demotions, as well as being included in appointing future Senior Funeral Guards, and many others. We like to keep our team a healthy working environment, so we truly hope this kind of spreading out the workload will help maintain both the positive decisions we make as a team and overall transparency within the team.

<@&920400557678657556> Hello everyone! We're happy to announce we've implemented a new system - public logs! We've made this in hopes of improving transparency between the team and the rest of the server, as we get a lot of questions about the actions we take and our treatment towards certain server members. The logs will be automatically sent in #ban-logs each time a user is reprimanded, and they will contain the exact message the user is sent upon action being taken.
At the given moment, only bans will be logged, as we're still testing this feature and we've evaluated bans to be the safest option to start out with. Public logs are still a work in progress and will therefore be treated as such. Changes might be made at any time and we could add/remove features based on public feedback.
Feel free to leave any suggestions or complaints regarding public logs in #╰・server-discussion・✧ or the anon form. We hope this feature will help all of us from now on and we wish you all happy holidays in advance!
