it is, but bosacious' design is great. he really brings home the air of guardian with his huge build and the four arms tells you he's not human. he also has a lot of visible battle scars and looks like the kind of guy who has fought and suffered through many battles. i dont think xiaos design is bad, per se, but it doesnt really convey the idea of his character better than bosacious does, at least in my opinion

you guys know the uuuh little side quest that gives you the Fan furnishing after completing the new chasm quests? where you talk to zhongli and the storyteller? it's super short but i was just thinking zhongli acted rather out of character during it, which sucks for a sidequest that features a playable character

not a big deal at all, but when you ask zhongli what he was doing at the chasm he replies that it's the first time he's heard someone suggesting he's been there and plays it off. he's not really the kind of person to behave in that way. hell, even when we asked about our sibling, the reason we're in teyvat at all, he's direct and tells us that he can't tell us anything because of a contract

rather than just skirting around it like "hehe idk what ur talking about!"

i'm 99.9999% sure it was just supposed to be a cool cameo like "omg we get to see him!" rather than anything substantial but it would've been nice for his presence to have carried more weight than we see (that he eventually explains to us) like it does in all his other appearances

does anyone know why they made the quest an archon quest and not part of the event? it didn't unlock a new exploration area that would be permanent like shenhes story quest the jade chamber archon quest, and if its for lore reasons then how come the other lore-packed event quests weren't made into archon quests? the only reason i can think of was bc there was a world quest that needed the completion of the archon quest, but still why would they make it an archon quest just to make a world quest so we can trade our rock for a fan?

ok, so, i’m going to rate my opinion about every scream of the yaksha’s in every dub of the latest cutscene

Coming in at #4 is Korea. I am not surprised, this dub just makes Xiao and the Pyro Yaksha crying like they lost a toy no real acting at all. Coming in at # 3 is the Japanese dub. The pyro yaksha just sounded like a gasp than a scream of pain , but Xiao did a pretty good job at least better than Korean. #2 is a hard one but I think it’s EN. The leap of acting here with Japanese is extraordinary. The Pyro yaksha shows the pain. But Xiao’s the shining light with such a heart piercing scream, very good. Now, #1 has to be the Chinese. I am out of words, the Pyro Yaksha is really suffering, the sound of her voice pierces your ears like a hand of desperation. Xiao’s screech has got to be my favorite and really shows how much pain that it would be like to be like him or any of the Yakshas. Thanks for listening

even when they do "die", their remnants cause either great destruction (havria/the god of salt as an example) or their remains infest the world around them in some way, causing all sorts of issues like disorders within the leylines, the formation of monsters, or mutations. i'd say that the way karma manifests within the person is akin to irl ptsd but it's not exactly the same.
when yakshas purge the world of divine remains, those remains need to go somewhere since they can never be fully destroyed. the trade off for yakshas is removing those harmful remains from the land in exchange for harboring them themselves instead.
combine that with the emotional dispair of having to murder over and over again and you have disastrous results. these remains in turn sort of.. eat away at them like a parasite - causing issues like memory loss, loss of sanity or stability, etc. and can be ultimately lethal unless suppressed (like in the case of xiao)
