If you think about it, the only playable character honkai "killed off" on screen, in the game, is himeko. Sakura, kallen were dead before the game even started. Mobius, elysia etc were dead 50k years ago. You can't "kill off" a character who's already dead. It was the other way around, they made a dead character playable

And himeko paved the path for the next 14 chapters, so there's that

Theyre not going to spoil major story leaks. I tried to put that out beforehand already

The last story leak we got didnt even belong to an archon quest nor story quest. It belonged to the world quest detailing Orobaxi and Enkanomiyas past, and why Orobaxi truly died.

From a lore PoV this is majorly important and im sure we'll see Ashikai and Teyvat Historia go at it, but from a player perspective it had little to no significance. I think the leakers will only go so far in hinting stuff up with regards to story.

Regardless, the story of Enkanomiya was AWESOME and I cant wait for more of it in the 2.5 event

but I really would recommend putting it into this perspective. The weekly boss we've been shown is nearly certainly not Ei, the shoguns design is very pristine and was meant to resemble the original as much as possible. I'd even suggest the Shogun and Scaramouche are of a more biomechanical origin, because there are no automatons capable of elemental energy flow.

That makes the existence of this weekly boss not likely to be made by her or from her. I'd either give it two options: It's done by Scaramouche himself with the Gnosis, because he's the physical experimental blueprint of the Shogun and maybe the Shogun was made using the Gnosis, thats purely speculative but still, or it's done by the Fatui and Dottore in particular. If he was able to study Kunikuzushi (Scara) closely, while also studying automatons in the factory based in Liyue, perhaps he could create a shogun like mecha. She clearly is a mecha, looking at for example her kneejoints.

It also makes no sense for Ei OR the shogun to make that body. How would that fit the eternity narrative?

honkais story was pretty bad starting out too. the whole game was in a really rough state in its first year or 2, so we can be optimistic about it

every live update game is rough in the beginning. FF14, those LoL/warcraft games, gacha games, etc
