I like it, but I don't love it.
I was expecting alot more focus on The resistance vs. The Shogunate. I was expecting more of Scaramouche/Signora as the antagonists. It would've been amazing to develop them as antagonistic characters and made us hate them more and when La Signora was killed I felt quite sad even though I feel she deserved it. I believe it was because of the lack of reason for us to hate her. We only ever see her at the end of the chapters taking the gnosis. I was expecting more Sangonomiya really wants to put a stop to the vision hunt decree, I was hoping to I was hoping to learn about from her from Yae, figure out Yae's plan, fight with the resistance against the shogunate, find out about La Signora and Scaramouche, duel Signora, get our "Second chance", do what we did in Ei's story quest, the "heart to heart" talk between Yae and Ei and finally convincing her to put an end to the vision hunt decree. Also on the posters there was alot of Sangonomiya but we talk to her for like 10 minutes and completely forget about her, teppei's death, though when we were fighting Ei, it was glitching between traveler and teppei, didn't feel like we were remembering him at all. No one spoke about Kazuha activating his friend's vision and overall it just felt too easy convincing Ei that this eternety she's pursuing for her nation and for herself wasn't really the best thing to do. And overall, the hype for epic scenes didnt really last (kazuha activating his friend's vision, spine chilling scenes etc.). And Kazuha was also advertised to play a big part in the story but what do we get? One scene. ONE DAMN 5 SECOND SCENE. Though it was epic, in their posters kazuha was shown in a lot of them and gets a 5 second scene like what the heck? It was very underwhelming and lacking for me but this is my own opinion. You are entitled to your own opinion and I have no right to change your opinion.
