literally 10 minutes out of that was worthwhile

I was like that during the Fontaine era because I loved loved loved the Narzissenkreuz Institute lore
But in Natlan I was so much more excited for the Archon quest because of all the theories I had...
So the disappointment hit even harder for me
I'm actually not excited for... anything going forward.
New areas are cool I guess but the world quests in Natlan hasn't hit as hard for me as they did with Fontaine
And now well
I guess I'll just wait and see.

the statue of the seven whispering "world forget me", the samsara loop, the MUSIC, the tiny lore drops here and there like dottores secret hospital, khaenriah exposition for months culminating in us finding the entrance, scaramouche and irminsul lore

it was all so peak

bring those writers back

even all the ingame texts being altered after deleting rukkhadeva was such a crazy move

meanwhile natlan we dont even get an answer for the pyro gem text

One thing I enjoyed about this quest was the section where we talked with all the NPCs and more that we had already met. That was pretty creative and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Unfortunately thats the only compliment I have for this quest.
I did enjoy the more how do I say, environmental storytelling we got?
For example, we had that quest with the Khaenri'ahn soldiers that were trapped and then we learn Capitano was from Khaenri'ah
There were no Seelies in Natlan and then in the Archon quest we learn why
And little tid bits like that
But... thats it.

Well this Archon Quest was just a glorified victory march. I genuinely felt like the major plot ended in 5.2 and this quest was just a bunch of flashy visuals with no real stakes or thrill. Definitely was cool to see all the NPCs come together to help us and the Saurian section in the Gostoythoth battle was great, but otherwise the entire first part was far from what I had expected after the hype from 5.2 and Ochkanatlan. At least we got a cool Capitano memorial, I guess. I did enjoy the quest but it just didn't feel all that significant.

I am intrigued by the item description of the Traveler's Ancient Name tho. Something about a bunch of people (who might be previous Pyro Archons but I'm not sure on that) and Xbalanque's thousand year lie. Did I miss something or is this something new?

Well in capitano's case it's somewhat different
He houses not just his soul, but the souls of his fallen comrades as well
You can think of his soul as an echo chamber where the souls are echoes and his soul is the chamber , as they keep echoing back and forth within his soul.
It certainly could be within the realm of possibility , based on the current archon quest it would seem so. I wouldn't completely negate the fact that he may be subtly alive , but after them holding a memorial for him (which is a trivial reason to justify him being completely gone) , a more pressing reason is that he has wanted to die since a long time , so his wish would be completely granted. And if that's the case , then he really is gone , like an empty husk with no seed inside. But in this way , he has achieved peace and put the other souls within him to rest as well , it's quite a good ending for capitano , considering how much he bore within himself for about 500 years. But getting back to the point , it really is a possibility that alot of people outline. He's sitting there on the throne, lifeless but he's there

My criticism for Natlan is that the characters don’t feel fleshed out, but the way they handled war was impactful and good. The world quests were S tier and amazing, I enjoyed every single world quest I’ve done in Natlan so far and read through all of them- which is wild because my attention span can be hard to engage

The best part of the archon quest was the lore drops, like the last part involving Ronova

It makes me wonder if all shades have that deep red power, as Ronova and the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles both have the same color in regards to their powers

That coupled with Xbalanque having villain dialogue in the bossfight and one line in the item description that goes "Xbalanque and his thousand year old lie" so it seems to be building up a mystery except we got no answers in the AQ and the Xbalanque villain edit came out of nowhere with no further explanation. Hell no one even acted like it was something weird. So to be clear, it's not the names themselves that intrigue me but the stuff that is written about them, since it looks like build-up to a greater plot.

If she want,she can do it before, remember, people already trusted in Mavuika ,some have doubt in her plan but here is the problem with this "betrayal" plot is her motive,yet no one can come up with the reason, after all,Mavuika already accepted the past and her lost,so why fight the abyss if you are going to betray Natlan anyway?
