the exposition dump and pacing was really messy

and the character drama wasn't all that hot shit either

Part 2's character drama was more impactful considering that was the main approach of the installment
albeit the directing was riskier than usual it still brought out the intentions of the overall experience

Executioners Way of Life - New series, technically isekai, but the main character isn't an isekai person, the love interest is. Has some very unique worldbuilding and dark af villains. Loved the light novel.

Summertime Render - New series, not as familiar with this one, but heard good things. Supernatural mystery.

There's a lot of sequels, yes (nothing particularly wrong with that. Some of them will be covering arcs very different from previous ones (like Bookworm)), but there's still plenty of new shows coming out too

I haven't watched it so I wouldn't know exactly, but from what I've heard I don't think TG falls into what you would consider shounen. By genre definition it is a shounen (shounen is much wider then things aimed at kids, AoT is shounen, well technically). I have also heard that the story for the TG anime just fails to follow the source material after a certain point but then cuts back to it without acknowledging the stuff they changed.
