(Ex: the Human Language was based on English and Basque)

The Demon Language was based on Japanese and Zulu iirc (Japanese grammer, Zulu words)

It was also really nice that Rudy wasn't perfect in the languages even after studying them for a while. His demon-god language wasn't anywhere near perfect after turning point 1 but it got way better at the show progressed. Also the fact Eris, someone who was historically unteachable, slowly learn the language as she was there and not just relying on others.

One of the biggest reasons would be the animation is so expressive. You can always tell what a character is thinking by their facial expression or when someone is happy all of the movements become more excited and frantic to reflect that. Also the main duo have really good chemistry and feel like they could make an actually good couple.

The character acting does it for me. Though the attention to detail in the animation (like any scene where Marin's playing with her hair) goes a long way as well.
