Random Thought: does anyone else agree with Light Yagami's overall intention in Death Note? 🤔
I personally think what he did was indeed the best way to reduce the world's crime rates. TLDR: kill a few people (criminals) to save a lot more people.
Sure he did kill some innocent people like Lind L. Taylor to satisfy his own ego, and a few more to save himself from the opposing party. But apart from that, if given a Death Note, I would probably punish criminals like he did.

For most of teen, Light is some kind of Hero, reducing crime rate in an instant way. (That what I think too back then)
But if you are adult, there is actually many research regarding crime and how to prevent it, I havent read many crime journal (maybe if you are pyschology/crime/law students you will understand this more).
To me what Light do is wrong, that not how you judge a criminal, there is a better way, don't you think criminal deserve a second chance? Well there many type of criminal and law already make to judge many kind of crime, what Light doing is just "make his own law, like a self proclaimed god".

Iirc, there is a part in the manga where its explained that unlike Misa who judged every criminals right away (including those who appeared on TV to apologize for their mistake), Light had some criterias on criminals he deemed deserve to die (cmiiw). I'm pretty sure he only judged criminals who actually cannot be helped. There are indeed many other ways to prevent crimes, but like I said, it was the best way at least in the series. The purpose was not only to "judge" criminals, but to get people think twice before committing a crime in fear of Kira's judgement. Also, by having access to the Death Note given by a shinigami aka Death God, he technically had every right to act as a self proclaimed god in my opinion.

one piece def has some shit ratio's of manga to anime episode but the anime as a whole is better than most anime

It is not just any average manga to anime ratio, when it comes to one piece they make sure to stretch everything as possible to the point where they barely adapt half a chapter each ep. there has been long running shows that had good pacing and were a lot better than one piece once you compare the two. and the best part is that they are concluded

I actually just finished Tokyo Revengers yesterday and that Baji scene where he goes from nerd to the 1st division captain, pulled me back into anime

If you liked Gotoubun no Hanayome, I feel like you'd like Bokuben (We Never Learn). Almost exact same setup (poor dude tutors stupid people because he needs it to get into the school he wants to go to), but with a group of classmates rather than five quintuplets.

Other than that, some other romance manga favorites of mine:
The World God Only Knows: Pro romance game player is tasked with tracking down and capturing escaped cursed spirits that hide in the holes in girls hearts by "capturing" (romancing) the girls. Lots of plays on tropes, and a pretty nice story too imo (some don't care for the ending, but I personally liked it. The girls are all nice too).
Something About Us: A manwha, but it does a really nice job of doing a grounded (no crazy misunderstandings) and fairly realistic relationship drama, both the ups and downs before and after.
The World of Machida-kun: A realistic and serious depiction of someone on the spectrum, but in a refreshingly "normal" way (it's not the center of the story or anything, its just how they are). Honestly just a nice casual read with a relationship that develops really nicely over the course of the story.
