Yeah Tatami Galaxy is very relatable
i really need to watch utena SOON
It relates to me more so than welcome to NHK
YEAH
But NHK is also really good
I’m the guy here who constantly hypes up Nagatoro lol
Well, there’s other Nagatoro simps here
Odd Taxi was the other show that was being thrown out a lot
And Odd Taxi is the sleeper
odd taxi actually seems kinda interesting tho
It’s a super super good mystery anime
Yeah, that’s the serious anime of the season
But Nagatoro is my personal favorite
JAKE FROM STATE FARM??
10/10 first episode. But I wasnt that great of a fan of the rest of the season (at least so far)
And this is as someone that loved the manga
YEAH the first episode was GREAT but the rest WAS not as good
It was a really faithful adaption, but I'm not sure faithfulness was the thing it needed when changing media formats.
the manga must be better then
It's an incredible manga
i gotta read it
Up until ||the most recent few chapters lol. Now I don't know what it is||
But I’ll chat when I’m done
MAL supports custom profile styles if you have the CSS code for it
ohhh
I don't really use mine anymore besides to just track whats out each season lol
I use a Google Sheet
DAMNN THAT PERSON HAS WATCHED 715
yeah MAL is fun to use at first but then u just forget and give up sjkdhf
Yeh, that and I was mostly using mine to recommend shows to others, and if thats the case, Sheets gives me more tools than MAL/other tracking sites 👀
Plus I can share the sheet, so its just as usable as linking my MAL
HMMM that is smart
Yee, got that fancy color coding and shit lol
Think I got a good format going for it
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1shb5sL0aFKrWi4KrSQeeNzy_pg60907abVI7ZyE_Nws/edit?usp=drivesdk
h
YES mob psycho IS 10/10
Honestly, even without the great story, the animation alone puts it there 👀
YEAH
i love the animation
omg made abyss yes i agree 9/10
ok i gotta recommend best 1000/10 show ever for u to watch
watch Monster
i agree with cowboy bebop 9/10
its the best

WHERE IS COWBOY BEBOP i dont see it
u press score
They might be talking about the other list lol
ohhh
Havent gotten around to Bebop yet
oh yeah they are
😳🤫
well it was a great talk with u jake from state farm i am leaving now to READ!
what r u gonna read
Nice talkin to ya too 👀
(The google sheet has manga scored too btw)
OH ok I didn’t know that I will check that too
Hell yea
Yeah when you started showing interest in stuff like Gankutsuo.... you lost me
Mononoke....
I get Kara no Kyoukai
But the other shows.....
Yuck
I’m halfway into Mononoke and I’m deadass gonna give it a 9/10
It’s funny cuz I wasn’t completely feeling it the first episode but once the second episode hit IM HOOKed
Oof
This one’s pretty alright so far. Definitely liking it but it’s not completely up there
Like decent to good
And that’s the beauty I appreciated
Visual direction is amazing

I’ll just continue onwards cuz I really wanna finish this brb
Anime truly is wonderful lol
anime recommendations
@cunning cloak what kind of anime do you like
Otherwise just go with this if you haven't seen it
@mighty cape Episode 9, 19:10 mark of Mononoke. The sfx when he unleashes his inverted self GOT GORGEOUS SOUNDS
Thought I wanted to point it out, I'm feeling the appeal quite a bit now.

Though the Nue arc got even more expressive too. Like when they smelled the incense their character designs brighten up in color
I'll ping you again with my condensed writeup of the series when I finish the Bakeneko arc
Alright
There is another arc in the last three eps of this too, if you feel like you need more of Mononoke https://myanimelist.net/anime/586/Ayakashi__Japanese_Classic_Horror
A collection of three classic Japanese horror stories: "Yotsuya Kaidan", the story of a wife betrayed by her husband who seeks vengeance even in death. "Tenshu Monogatari", the story of forbidden love between a goddess and a human, and "Bakeneko", the story of a mysterious cat monster with a vendetta against a certain family.
I dont know why, but I think my explanation for Mononoke is a not as good Mushishi
Nah, I just know I didn't like Mononoke
Though I think I gave it a 6
Maybe a 5
Need to check
Not everyone can appreciate a good work unfortunately 😩
Though I still stand that if I had to pick, I'd pick Mushishi
I would pick Mononoke over Mushishi anytime
hi
They both have different vibes to them entirely anyway
Fair enough, but im linking the two shows together
Reason being?
Probably themes and episodic nature
I seen them both and I got similar vibes is all
And im fairly certain there's ebough parallels for me to even compare the two
There is the fact that they both take inspiration from japanese folklore but that is where things end
lol I was right its recommended with each other on MAL
The way the direction/characters/design works is entirely different
Wrong, I gave both shows a 7
Completely different mediums, they just share the same wandering format
I just had in the back of my mind that Mushishi was a better show for me
And Mononoke was all kinds of funky
You said that already
I know I said that already
One is soothing and relaxing for the brain, the other is a creative and thrilling composure of a art that stimulates and excites
Mononoke was more entertaining, Mushishi was something more laid back in comparison
Oh ya I'm familar with this. Could take a look into it in the future
I'm just saying I feel justified that Mushishi and Mononoke are recommended if you like either show
So im not going crazy
Well yes, that is fair enough
And from my personal recollection, I enjoyed Mushishi while Mononoke I remember it being all sorts of funky
So I repeat myself to validate my statement
I just dont like saying fake news
Even though it's all opinion
To each to their own
I just felt weirded out when you didn't like what I was saying
Cause I was all like, I seen these shows
It's not fresh in my mind obviously
Well you said Mononoke was "pretentious" earlier, so
But I was having some major deja vu
Ultimately both shows were great for different reasons
I dont know how my statement was wrong?
Elaborate on how it is considered pretentious first
You also grouped up Tatami,Madoka and Gankutsuo in the same group, while those shows are far from the word pretentious
🤔
I do agree that NGE is pretentious though, just not the other titles.
Pretentious: expressive of affected, unwarranted, or exaggerated importance, worth, or stature
Thats how I was using pretentious
And I dont think Madoka means to be this self important show
I know the text definition, what I was asking for is actual examples on why you consider said shows pretentious
Well pretentious has multiple definitions
And I can't read you
Sorta feels hostile
I think pretentious fits the bill with Mononoke. It's not like the word means anything bad
It's trying to make itself be bigger than what it is
Though the art, animation, themes, etc
Each of those titles expanded on their plot and their characters, they didn't use their themes as just a poor device to push their plot forward. It wasn't unnecessary exaggeration or fake importance on their end.
At first i had a negative recollection of it, not sure why but my first recollection was, watch Mushishi over this
I mean fine, Mononoke and Tatami use parlor tricks to wow you
How about that?
So good direction is pretentious basically?
Like the stuff in Utena with the stair case scene
It's the wacky stuff that happens artistically
That's what I mean
Yeah so?
I dont mean it as a negative connotation
It's just just the word makes sense when describing these shows
The artistic direction/symbolism/ etc
It is fine to use artistic approaches as long as they manage to deliver their message decently to the viewer
It is really about how they execute said approach, NGE just said symbolism as a parlor trick like you said while their message was just very basic at its core.
Like I can type an essay, but I feel like that won't do much
Let's agree to disagree I guess
This. I read that as aggressive. I don't think you meant it that way.
Maybe I'm wrong
I'm reading that emote as aggressive
Well I wasn't aggressive, you just interrupted it that way
ooooh anyone wanna recommend good psychological stuff?
Anything from Satoshi Kon
Anything from Masaaki Yuasa
granted they are psychological at most
oooh thank you
np
oop I think a word got censored
@mighty cape I gave it an 8.5, writeup is kinda scuffed cuz am a bit fatigue but Mononoke is quite an experience!
No it is fine, you did a good job at reviewing it. I actually agree with all your points
The ambiguity of the Medicine Seller made things a lot more interesting as well, his presence was something akin to Oshino from Monogatari which is another character who had a similar role in Monogatari's storytelling
It is a dialogue heavy serious mostly
Yeah I do know it’s dialogue heavy and its creative transitions
I’ve seen a couple spoiler less clips
I would recommend watching Katanagatari first and seeing if you will vibe with it first, it is from the same writer and mostly have the same aspects of Monogatri to it as well
Ya I heard of it
Saw 2 friends watching it on their Anilist
Will definitely check that out beforehand
Yeah it is less taxing than Monogatari too so it should be a decent test to see if you are ready to watch the show or not
Was thinking bout watching Bishōnen before Monogatari too lmao
Pretty Boy Detective Club
Also by the same dude and Shaft clout
I say this but I still enjoyed Monogatari despite going in completely blind

The slick dialogue is just phenomenal
Oh and the characters
Each and every one of them are equally matched when it comes to their depth
Mhmmmm
Like ik a lot of people will lean towards Senjougahara first but as the series introduce more characters their interests shifts a lot
Yeah mostly
I think I talked to more Hachijuki fans than others
Oh and one more thing
Kizu after Bake?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hdVoamCUg8&t=0s Also this mf is pretty great too
Scene from Nisemonogatari episode 3.
A worthy introduction for best boy Kaiki
Kaiki bless
I love his introduction
Uh let me check
Just askin cuz it’s like a personal watch order question for most
Like Kizu after Bake is the intended order despite coming late as it clarifies a lotta things
Hearing from most
That is
Kizu was delayed till later apparently so it didn't follow the novel order but it was fine regardless since it was just a prequel to the actual show
One of the better characters in the series 😎
Good night
Those people lacked the strength of will needed to be true Senjougahara fans 😤 Our faith never falters
S-tier tsundere service

My only complaint with Bakemonogatari is that I really think they should have swapped the places of Episode 12 and 13
Episode 12 does such a nice job of giving closure to the season that its a bit awkward coming back for one more episode
Episode 12: The ||midnight date that fades into the ED||
Episode 13: The ||Sensei dude disappears||
12 was such a good episode
Certainly
Speaking of which, there was this one ED transition in HxH 2011 that I liked a lot
Oh yeah, HxH...
The episode count for that keeps me from trying to binge it lol
It is very easy to binge actually
I had a friend of mine who had the same concern but he finished it in a week and a half regardless

Well, my concern is that that was probably a week and a half of pretty heavy watching. I can't afford to do that rn 😂 Way too much going on.
Barely doing enough procrastination to fit in the seasonal shit
Fair enough
It is mostly better than the current seasonals anyway, so it is not wasted time
I'll admit, I do love the bits of animation I've seen for Killua's scenes (I browse through the Sakuga animation booru sometimes)
Oh yeah beside the sakuga, all the fights in HxH are well thought out with proper buildups as well.
It's on my eventual list to watch. Tbh though, the stuff that gets hyped doesnt seem that hype to me 😅 But that's probably due to getting spoiled by some of the more recent s-tier shonen.
A lot of older animation holds up well (Ex: Cowboy Bebop's incredible choreography), but longer-run shows like HxH are some of the most vulnerable to getting dated when compared to modern studio budgets
(Couldn't get into Bleach for similar reasons)
man, i genuinely don't understand how it got so many 8's
In a "those should be 10s" or in a "how is this higher than a 5" way?
(haven't watched the show yet lol)
2nd option
basically the plot is weird, the character's personalities are stiff as fuck and the romance in show is forced
just after 1st episode i could already tell that this show will be pretty much nah
Well, from what little I've seen, the fight animation looks fairly well done at least. That might be carrying it 🤷♂️
well, animation is the only thing which isn't bad in it ig
That is the thing, HxH isn't about the fights
It is about the characters and the buildup
The fights are just final means to a dilemma
Yeh, this clip that got uploaded to the sakuga booru looked pretty good
(delayed response cause shitty German internet lol. This was in reply to Totally Normal)
trust me, after this fight plot of the show changes to forced romance and then chasing someone/something but then abandoning it for a while and going somewhere for no fucking reason
i tried to not spoil anything tho
atleast thats how it looked from my pov
not even gonna mention how painful it was to watch over 40m episode of it (talking about 1st one, no idea if every episode is going to be that long but i don't think so)
I mean... there's a lotta isekai this season lol
they arent all going to be winners
some have been pleasant surprises. Others have just been really oddly made
Now time for real question
Choose the best isekai ever
(im gonna mention that im not a big fan of isekais and watched just few most popular ones so thats why im curious about other people's opinions)
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
Way easier if its by genre lol
"of all time" is a bit harder (and also depends what media format: anime, manga, light novel)
anime
Twelve Kingdoms easily
Hm. A tough choice still.
Personally, I'm tempted to go with Re:Zero (specifically the Directors Cut version), but Re:Creators is a really close second for me (though thats technically a "reverse isekai")
Sike I’m still up
Re:Creators
I’ll see about that when I watch it
Hi still up 👀 Welcome back
It's a reallllly close second lol

I feel like it got slept on
I’ve talked about this before in this chat.
Even aobuta’s banters and retorts completely shat on this series.
The anime skewed the order of the novel so it kinda gets fucky and treated a lot of events to feel like ass pulls.
Definitely the mid of the season

Kanojo mo Kanojo has been great so far for the comedy side of things.
Meanwhile, Realist Hero and Moonlit Fantasy have both been fairly pleasant surprises so far.
Harem and isekai
(that being said, Slime continues to have the absolute worst pacing, and I have no idea what Spirit Chronicle's pacing is lol)

I mean, isekai as a premise isn't inherantly bad. It depends on how the show uses it.
Oh, and TNP.
Best isekai eh?
I also don’t indulge in the genre as well but Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku is arguably my best pick of an isekai you can watch.
the only thing from this season which i've started is vanitas no carte, which is pretty enjoyable imo (atleast for now), noe and vanitas kinda reminds me of chuuya and dazai from bsd for some reason
And the current seasonals always use it in the absolute worst way
♿
It’s the character designs.
They scream hot boys
I’m gonna check if there’s any other anime worth watching this season
I'm getting the feeling you're more just not a fan of harem lol (which, admittingly, a lot of isekai suffer from, but honestly there's way too many rom coms in general lol)
the Black Company and Standing on a Million Lives S2 isekais seem to have largely escaped that so far
Black Company in particular was a pleasant surprise compared to my low expectations 😅
Oresuki’s prob my favourite guilty pleasure harem
Just like for Cautious Hero being my guilty pleasure isekai
The cringe made it hilarious but the last few episodes mocked what it mock
I didn't make it till the end
Not really an isekai (just a VRMMO series), but BOFURI (the max defense anime) is definitely my biggest guilty pleasure. A show that realized its premise was stupidly boring if done seriously, and stopped trying to be logical in the best possible way
♿
I was about to drop that series ngl

The first two episodes are boring af
It stops taking itself seriously around 3/4 tho
The first two episodes I found the most interesting actually
Oh Bofuri was also a nice
guilty pleasure too
Cuz I wanted to know why she OP
And then the rest of the series is a victory lap
she OP cause she's an idiot savant for cheesing things
Yeah that was cool
It doesn't deserve more than that
Now when I watched the second half of SAO S2 it kept reminding me of BOFURI
SOL type beat, no feeling of high stakes indeed
That’s BOFURI and Rosaria arc/that sword arc of SAO
Rosaria? I literally cant remember her part in the actual story, only the Abridged version
oh
But boredom overload to say the least
I only can remember genshin's Rosaria, the characters in SAO are completely forgettable

okay, Mother's Rosaria is some kind of sword I guess
rosaria is the name of the redhead from Season 1 lol
who the fuck was that
SAO characters holds a lot of iconic appeals so I can remember some
Literally idk
hey guys just a small but hilarious clip, anyway here the link to the original thing:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oh8AsXWcBbc
^this redhead
ah that bitch
yeh
And I’m the typa guy to say SAO isn’t completely trash yet I forgot a lot of things

Cool animation go brrrrr
well I will give SAO one thing, its production value
Heyyoo
Hey
So um
great minds think alike
what's the talk
mostly just shitting on shitty anime lol
nice
or at least, shitty arcs
what do you think about death note
Couldn't get into it. Dropped it around Ep3/4ish
Good first half meh second half, that’s the main consensus
yeah
good show to start anime with, had potential but falls off at the end
coool
but if it is literally your first show
Yeah, good starter anime. Won't make the rest look shit by comparison like some ones lol
you would find it really good anyway
Maybe I sleep now fr lmfao
:)
I started watching Odd Taxi
Definitely very interesting
Who watch One Piece here?
I dropped One Piece
It's the time dilemma
I think I'd do the manga if I were to pick it back up
After seeing this im glad that i have skipped fate/stay night made by studio deen and went straight to fate/stay night: UBW made by ufotable
Studio Deen version still has a unique story so if you really like Fate it’s still worth watching imo

hii
Reminder: Guts is the true black Swordsman
The only Fate anime I watch is Zero. Because Zero is the best one.
I watched this one at first and damn
It had way more unique vibe while comparing it to Fate/stay night: UBW
🍿
I'd recommend Zero before all others
Thats what i've done
That said, I know some folks hate Zero
for now i watched just ubw and zero so i can't really say much
still, characters were written way better in zero imo
Kirie Kotomine is one my favorite antagonists in anime and manga
wasn't he called Kirei?
Yeah however you spell his name.
He's a well written antagonist
hi
I saw Deen’s version also had Okada working on the script so I guess that’s another reason why it’s so mid af

ik they made a lot of garbage but they made some good ones
Maison Ikkoku
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju
While the jokes weren’t exactly my cup of coffee, the animation in Konosuba is really nice
Can’t forget Rurouni Kenshin
Rozen Maiden makes Studio Deen top tier studio alone
I forgot they did golden era Rumiko
I get them confused with studio pierrot
Oh the 2013 one
They also made Angel's Egg https://www.sakugabooru.com/data/c4f1b3be10ed6adf62709471ba9bf0fa.mp4
It was directed by the same guy who was behind GITS
I still need to watch that
Lmao this is what I'm rocking so far for seasonals
Night Head 2041 is a bit interesting though mid introduction so far, but at this point I don't really care that they mixed CGI with 2D models because at least it's better than Ex-Arm's
Kanajo mo Kanajo is a 3?
It’s surprising because I gave Aho Girl a 4
Second episode had more knack into the jokes but it’s still cringe
Been out yea
I recall watching the first season thinking it was a typical wholesome kyoani show, but watching the second season made me realize that this is exactly what I need more of
What's better to watch first?
Date A Live or YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world?
Date A Live
Date a Live has more fan-art imo, so if waifus are the goal, probably Date a Live
Both are keklmao but you’re better off with DAL @elfin rivet
Actually I never heard of YU-NO
And it doesn’t look promising
Kurumi Tokisaki will be the saving grace of your DAL watch if you’re ever feeling eh throughout
No, waifus aren't the goal. I heard YU-NO is a time leap story and I'm interested in DAL since I heard it's a parody of Evangelion except it's a harem.
Ah lol
Isekais with long titles in a nutshell
never watched either (and dropped NGE)
Yo, @shadow knot , think I might have just found a sleeper.
And a chinese one at that.
Nice lmao
Scissor Seven?
The Legend of Luoxiaohei
Mhmm
I take it you know it?
have you read the other mangas from the Kobayashi's creator?
Not really no
Ah, well, have some out of context sakuga lol
https://youtu.be/XZpERVlhGms?t=269 (Don't actually know what the story is about. Just randomly stumbled across it while browsing the sakuga booru)
It is finally here after a delay! Now the plot is getting exciting! Legend of Luoxiaohei 38 is English Subbed (罗小黑38). Luoxiaohei Episode 38 the 10th episode of Season 2. The Legend of Luoxiaohei (罗小黑战记) is one of the top-rated Chinese animated series. The story revolves around a black demon cat in a secret world full of magic and spirits. The a...
Chinese anime with good sakuga? https://www.sakugabooru.com/data/480a6e682f1cf987c46c9d16ea959434.mp4
Doesn't really get better than this
Yeah there is actually nothing about it before S3 in sakugabooru
Just watched. The whole thing's directed pretty well.
Donghuas are underrated as hell. Good thing Link Click is getting traction for others to check out other Chinese animation
Yeah, I plan on checking out the rest and seeing how well it holds up, but that directing in that episode gives me pretty high hopes
Gave it the feeling of an animation of much higher detail/quality than it actually was
Looks like a fun series for sure. In terms of checking it out, not really a priority atm
Understandable lol
I'm kinda just bouncing between series atm
Yeah I already got like a couple of entries in plan already so if I do come to it it’d be in a very long time lol
Sounds about right for ya lol
On an unrelated note, the Moonlit Fantasy is holding up pretty well. Feeling a lot like S1 of the Slime Isekai (but with better pacing, at least so far)
I usually watch anime then if the series really interests me I’ll read the manga.
one of his other mangas is REALLY cultured
I dont think I can even post the cover here
the name is chichi chichi

lol he has two airing anime
Peach Boy Riverside and Dragon Maid
Interesting
And yeah… that manga is quite something
I know that Nagatoro mangaka…. Has a colorful past too
🍿

I like to not remember some of those
the vampire one is fine
I need to read the Nagatoro manga
I don’t wanna wait years for a season 2
Even though season 2 would be so hype for me
yeah, this will be kinda sad
If it takes years for stuff like JoJo and Chihaiyafuru…. I gotta go manga at this point
But luckily, Kaguya has an anime right around the corner
So no need to worry about that one
I hope a second season gets announced still this year for the next one
they should have enough material for a second season already
season 1 ended on chapter 46
we are on chapter 86 right now
I think they are probably waiting to have the same amount of chapters for a season 2
yeah, tho they changed the order of the chapters by a good amount, some events happens a bit different and a few chapters got skipped
chainsaw man chapter 87 spoilers
||technically reze is still alive right? since reze was never actually consumed by denji or finished off and she IS a strong weapon devil, she can revive by ingesting some blood.
the katana hybrid got cut in half but still survived and regenerated/revived by ingesting some blood so we cant really say reze died to the shallow/medium slash inflicted across her torso by pochita or that she cant revive right? shes more durable than that.
we dont know what happened to her though, we only know she got slashed across the torso by pochita but the slash MAY have made her immobile. when everything was "over" (pochita in makima's hands), makima may have dropped control over everyone and reze is still immobile or "dead", yet to be revived with blood||
I just assumed she's dead
Didn't really care much for her in the manga anyways
Just finished tensura wn from arc 5 to ending
somehow the ending is kinda ||unsatisfying|| imo
well its not polished since its WN
Tensura = the slime isekai, right?
yea
Yeh, havent read the WN myself, but the author mentions in their LN afterword that they've been shifting a lot of the stuff around to try and improve it a bit.
Yea wonder whats gonna happen in LN lol
Looking forward to it
Damn it took me almost a weekto finish
now I feel empty again
Overlord LN? 👀 It's pretty good, and only 2 LN away from finishing
That one and Ascendance of the Bookworm have really good world-building to them (Bookworm has a finished WN too iirc, but its LN still has ~6 books to go in the EN translation iirc)
Im planning to watch overlord
ohh I still have spirit chronicles to read
but idk if its worth the time lol
Fair enough. The arcs the movie and next season will be covering are some of my personal favorites (or at least, I hope the movie reaches my favorite arc)
After I watch the anime Im gonna read the continuation
The spin-off novel is also really nice, and self-contained too 👀 (basically a canon "what if", in a similar sense to the Re:Zero what-if's)
Ohh looking forward to that
Btw I havent read re zero
I feel like I just want to watch it from the anime itself
To be fair, Re:Zero's anime is pretty damn good lol
But yeah, what I meant was just that Re:Zero has several "What if" stories themed around the seven deadly sins, that are basically just "what if X happened at [Key point in the story]".
The events themselves arent "canon" to the main story, but details revealed about the world and character backstories are 👀
Probably Echidnut lol, their content is great
I think overall it's worth a watch
S2 might be kinda iffy personally because it's peak for readers (but not for me) though at times the anime kinda fumbles in production for that particular season so it iz what it iz
If they make a S3 they gotta convince the Mushoku mofos animating to come back
I think S2 Part 1 at least is worth watching animated
The voice acting for those important story/character development bits was spot on
Its just the animation/pacing for the 'action'y part that falls through a bit (but thats mostly S2P2)
Ah yea there were some dark moments
And heartwarming too
Had it not been for those I would’ve thought less lol
Anyways, i just want to tell you; i wouldn't expect that one of the V-Tuber in Hololive could represent my past senior high moments with an astounding accuracy, and her name is.... Kureiji Ollie.
It's not really peak
Overlord is not worth your time
It kept going downhill with each season
Good to hear
I hope they can pull off the upcoming action if they make a S3
If that is the case, you can just watch better shows from the same person

The anime has yet to reach the peak moments
Aphrodite got me acting up. Rest of the anime of Ragnarok is garbage.
As usual, the manga for RoR is miles more amazing now that we've seen the powerpoint visuals of the anime
I was praising to ufotable for so long until i randomly paused fate movie and have seen this, which is pretty much comparable to previous picture showing lancer from studio deen's fate
I mean, smear frames are a thing 👀 As long as the keyframes are fine, stuff like that isn't really noticeable while watching
yeah, true
Smear frames pretty much universally look goofy lol
Case in point: Little Witch Academia
https://youtu.be/bd-NjrUgDYM
TRIGGER's cartoony style is what I live for.
sound : "20th century Miku v4x" by minome❄
(https://soundcloud.com/minome/20th-century-miku-v4x)
Can't always be top tier animation and art from far shots too
It's normal
I know for Naruto they also exaggerate the choreography to evoke more impact into the action, to which if you pause they can look funny
Like Sasuke's fire ball jutsu
I know for the next one it's a manga example but even in the anime, any character in Jojo from far shots literally look stupid too
Still funny that this is how they introduced Johnny like this in SBR, sum disrespect lmfao
Where can I read CSM in eng online?
Dope thx
the david pro adapations make it even worse lmao
👀
Lol ya
honestly, I would be very surprised if it was, considering the LN is finished (and has been for a while). But I'm very willing to be wrong
Lmfao it’s been out for a while in JPN
Release date 27/2/2020
download on QooApp
Song : Happy Magic by Machico
#anime #konosuba
The character designs resemble a bit more to the LN
So they hella cuteee
oh, mb, didnt know it was a banned word
we cant play outside of JP right?
I mean you technically can but it's not out on global officially yet
And lmfao yes Kazuma looking kinda

i like this emoticones
Good comfy anime.
I think I've seen all the Joshiraku clips on YT lol
Damn Im watching Yuri now
Aquatope on white sand
The art and music is superb
It feels like a movie
Im looking forward to the end of that show lol
Any d frag fans lol
I liked the character designs.... that's about it regarding d frag
Saga of Tanya the evil is the best isekai I've watched.
Not my thing, but its pretty decent.

Wait does CSM only have 97 ch rn?
Yes, that’s the whole manga atm
Part 1
Nice to reread and see this again
I read it all in 1 sitting
I read all of CSM in one sitting too
Really from my experience shounen are a lot easier to binge than any other series for manga
Kanojo mo Kanojo….. is doing almost nothing for me
How do we go from Aho Girl to this?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
On the bright side… I realized Dio was in Villainess
🍿
honestly this is such an iconic moment from steel ball run
along with this pannel
Honestly there are so many moments
I hope to god valentines actor stays the same
My personal fav either gotta be
||Welcome To The True Man's World||
or
||The Napkin Speech||
The latter better be the equivalent to Yoshikage Kira's intro meme
have a good duwang
DuWANG
LMFAO
|| I would pay a lot of money to see Johnny's fight with valentine animated right now||
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVPXkEkl1pw
This one's a concept with the DavidPro sfx designs of Tusk (Huge SBR spoilers ofc)
||tusk splitting love train will forever be one of my favorite moments||
Hell yeahh
I saw this video a while back
where someone got all of valentintes lines from the fighting games and eyes of heaven along with johnny
and what ever lines were dubbed he put them over the johnny and valentine fight
Yeah the fandom got bare edits and vids of manga panels animated with the dialogue in the background
It's so fucking cool
the fan themes for johnny gyro and valentine are also pretty great
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9pC-D6GKgE ||True Man's World|| ofc I gotta send this
I actually haven't heard them lol
If you want you send here, I'm boutta brb for a few and wouldn't mind taking a listen
I took all 3 listen. They all sound good for themselves but can’t really vouch on the fanmade vibes y’know
I think they will make new themes for all of them when the anime does come out
but I think it would be cool if they included them at least once when steel ball run does get adapted into an anime
Mhm, honestly for Funny Valentine I’d expect an orchestrated piece with a choir evoking a haunting sound, reciting an unorthodox variation of the US national anthem
But this is fine too

there is a version with the national anthem as an intro
inb4 they just re use johnathan theme for johnny
i mean its technically johnathan joestar
They’ve reused a couple of inserts throughout the anime parts
I wouldn’t, but at the same time, would be surprised if the Part 7 opening is just Part 1

sono chino sadame
cowboy remix
they reused jotaros theme in part 4 which is understandable
and in part 5 they res used one of the battle themes from part 3 a decent amount of times
Oh yea
I don't think Johnny's actor will be the same seeing as the eyes of heaven and fighting game actors from
4 -6 got some of their actors replaced
wait I think the entire part 5 cast got new actors
and johnny's actor already voices koichi in the anime
Yep
Diegos is basically garunteed to be the same
Speaking of this have you seen this? https://youtu.be/cjwYHHB1Zxs
ver.1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wAq8QetOUQ
this is not official
"Sono Chi no Sadame~"
( ~その血の運命さだめ~)
- Hiroaki Tominaga (富永 弘明)
The U.S. Army Band - Battle Hymn of the Republic
スティール・ボール・ラン
HIROHIKO ARAKI
DISCO BALLAD
(huge spoilers for sbr obvs)
Yeah that’s 100%. If they acc don’t then the whole fanbase will riot
Gyro and Valentine are a toss up if they stay the same or not
I really hope at least valentines actor stays the same
Agreed
I'm gonna riot if I don't hear the same voice when we get an adaptation in 2086
https://youtu.be/ynl5jo8lPPk
Funny Valentine: Every Voiced Manga Lines.
The voice lines are taken from the video games "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven" and "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle" and the voice actor is Yasuyuki Kase, who also voiced Mikitaka Hazekura in Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable.
The ||napkin speech|| is one of my favourite parts of sbr
I'm currently rereading D4C's reveal and it's such a fucking mindtrip
True, it would confuse anyone
Especially since this is from the manga standpoint
I'm certain it'll be way easier to comprehend when its eventual anime adaptation pops around
Like Golden Wind's King Crimson reveal had manga readers confused
Definitely, King Crimson was easier to understand in anime form I heard
Heh
So much good scenes in the manga I can't wait to see animated
||Dinosaur|| Diooooo
||Rock eating|| Dio

anybody watched charlotte ?
anyone whose watched/played Steins;Gate?
May also might be looking for Berserk and Love is War fans
Oh, I've read the whole manga twice
Yup, it is the latest chapter :)
||I'm still irrationally happy to see Kobachi's eyes||
I am now planning to either make a cosplay of Kaguya, Miko or Koba when I've finished my Donna cosplay

I played SG several years ago. completed only one route though (Suzuha) and also currently reading Love is War
Oooooooo
So mihoyo copied this anime girl to make eula?
She 100% looks like eula and her power too
Ooh ya I’ve seen this. It’s pretty nice

I was listening to Fhana all week
Kanojo mo Kanojo's 3rd episode kinda dummy as usual, actually slightly drier than usual
At least gacha references were decent
Aquatope's second episode was actually fine, I thought Kukuru wasn't very reasonable at first but I forgot the synopsis existed lmao
Kanojo mo Kanojo is the biggest disappointment this season.
I went into it expecting something like Aho Girl
I should drop it, but I can stomach it
If you didn't like Aho Girl why bother?
I don't drop
I dont watch shows intentionally to piss me off anymore
It caused me to quit anime for 3 plus years the last time I did that
As in 2017 to 2020
Had there not been a pandemic, I probably would have quit anime for good lol
What I'm getting at here is Kanojo mo Kanojo didn't really sound appealing from reading it
There's some enjoyment , it's not like both series are 1/10 or even below 1 if you use AL.
Even if they're bad there's still some bright sides like Ayane Sakura's acting and that Initial D reference in Aho Girl
What hooked me in personally was it being made by the mangka of Aho Girl
I get that, it's not a 1/10
But the show is really hard to watch
It's cringe
And unfunny
For me that is
I watched it solely on it'd association of Aho Girl
Aho Girl was a show I thoroughly enjoyed
So the juxtaposition just makes me angry
I see two other lead characters for Kanojo mo Kanojo, so maybe the dynamic gets funny or interesting
It's just, these types of comedy/gag anime... you tend to just need 1 or 2 episodes
I can be proven wrong, so I'll be hopeful
Ironically, Dragon Maid is the show I love the most this season
mhm
I should watch or read manga san. If it ain't better than the two then it's my last straw with whoever created these series lmfao
Aho Girl had some moments fosho
Kanojo mo Kanojo I'd say is Aho Girl comedy but a tad degraded and coerced in QQ S1 animation
Lets see what manga san will offer when I do pick it up
Anime movie review. This week is K-On movie.
I seen the K-Kon series a long time ago, but I never bothered watching the movie until just now.
It was definitely a nostalgia trip and it's definitely worth watching if you seen the TV series
I can't quite explain why I never watched it until now cause K-On was a solid show and I enjoyed my time with it, but I guess I just didn't make the effort.
The movie aged really well despite it being nearly 10 years old. It's got a lot of charming scenes and fun moments. Ends the series really well.
Ey, is anyone know what manga website that update faster?
Its ok if its JP
.
Thx man :)
Hope this website have search feature tho
yes
ur welcome
Anyone has info on new konosuba project?
IRIS ARC LETSGOOOOOO
Oh shit, yussssss
more ||kazumin|| material :DDD
since the movie cut out the best bits
LETS GOOOOOOOOO
Inb4 it's another pointless ova lmao
Oh damn this could’ve completely fit the bill that it could’ve been Nana’s manga if it was ||boyfriend|| (huge spoilers) instead of friend
Man, when will the hiatus stop?
Yeah Ai Yazawa’s art is one hell of an aesthetic
Who is that character and which anime is she from?
high school xd
I’m really liking whoever’s doing the subs I’m using in NGE. The font’s pretty fitting and it had its creative uses
As for the series itself I’m liking it so far
Oof, finished the newest Mushoku Tensei volume today
Author took a bold move and spoiled the end of the volume on the first page lol
(Every volume of Mushoku Tensei begins with a "quote" from the MC's diary/biography (not entirely sure which), and this one literally started the volume with (this is almost word for word the quote): "With [X Character] ||dead|| and [Y Character] ||sick||, what's the use in neatness?")
was still a really good volume tho

which Rushia is your favourite?
short teal hair, blue outfit
short teal hair, blue outfit, cat ears
short pink hair, black outfit
long pink hair, black outfit
shrine maiden outfit
*NEW* long teal hair, black outfit, cloak
new outfit
Bleach looks worth watching to me if I were younger and back in the 2000s tbh
But entirely up to you cuz I don't know what you like so you might as well give it a shot if you want
Shinmai Maou no Testament
Man, finally got around to watching it...
The second episode of Dragon Maid season 2 is so fucking good...
Anastasia from THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls, Episode 8
0:27 of Episode 8 to be exact 👀

I never gave Cinderella Girls a chance. Same with the new cast of Love Live
I have no regrets
Never watched idolmaster lol
eh I mean Idol animes aren't fr everyone
They are for me
I just try not to drop series so I stick thru them
I just got attached to the original cast of both shows
Maybe ill give Cinderella Girls a fair shake, but its gonna be extremely tough to top the original cast
I think Love Live Sunshine is the new cast
true. I was also fans on their original cast's seiyuus
Either way. I'm praying that the new generation isn't really a cash grab
Idk, I started Idoly Pride, and I'm liking that a bit (mostly because the character animation team is overqualified for that show lol)
Is it like something like Precure
New cast same name
Heart catch Precure is apparently the best one
I need to try a Precure, but there's so many of them
oh yeah, Idoly Pride is decent. It switches things up a bit with her sister's ghost but otherwise follows the usual tropes and is predictable as hell lol.
Yee, story aint much lol
I do like their songs tho
I'm just a big fan of sakuga/good animation
well some
and the songs are pretty good
Back yeah I love Idolmaster, but I ignored Cinderella Girls
F*A Wyr98q hIWAR Nq3o r=R q3
HER HANDS SCARRED ME FOR LIFE
I will never recover from that in my life
Villainess Season 2 sorta lacks the charm of season 1, but I think I just gotta wait it out
Last one's a surprise for me if its referencing what I think its referencing lol (an xkcd comic)
Idk, I'm finding it fairly entertaining so far. The competitive banter in the first episode was really good (tho yeah, it still needs to give us a reason to care about whats happening to her/connect with the character. The stakes are fairly low so far)
I think the first season had a really good hook and the hook ended with season 1. There's a new plot in season 2, but so far it doesn't have that hook like season 1 so far for me.
Yeah, thats more or less what im waiting for lol
seeing what they introduce to replace it
Tohru's face the episode tho

loved that scene lol
When I watched it like 2 days ago I literally started sweating cause I was scared of it but now I can stomach it... barely
Also in the manga aren't her hands normal?
I love season 2
It's my favorite show this season
Only Kanojo mo Kanojo makes me rage though
||Later on, yeah||. The scene is the same in the manga though
ah god my eyes
Oh yeah @topaz linden you like anime OP and EDs right? Do you keep like a playlist with them in it?
Yee 👀 Two/three of them depending on what you'd count as "a playlist with them"
- Dump playlist for anime/japanese songs I like
- Dump playlist for OPs/EDs/songs I want to recreate in Genshin someday
- Dump playlist for well-made videos in general (a few OPs are in there for great editing)
Ahh, I like listening to music in the background whatever I'm doing so I was interested what kind of music you had in stock. Any playlist with just anime specific songs?
Also was looking to see some recs from just song titles loll
The video is fine, but I think the gif might be a bit much
spoiler tag this pls it's hurting my eyes
(As for the video... well... people will ship literally anything with anything, dont be surprised lol)
Hm, don't think so, but I can make one really quick by just copying over the anime ones from the first playlist 👀
if you would be so kind, sensei
whenever u have the time
curiosity 👀
I dont make anime Playlists, I just listen to the catalog of the artists that I like at the time
For example, Nagatoro got me to listen to everything Sumire Uesaka
And now Dragon Maid got me into a Fhana mood
I mean I also listen to the artists' other albums and songs but I have separate playlists cause I like categorizing things.
Also, a lot of the anime songs just bop better for me. It might be cause it grew on me from the anime or I can attach visuals/lyrics while I listen.
I’m a heavy listener to music yet I don’t have any playlists at all lmao
I lean towards multiple genres may it be Japan specific or not
Prolly I’ve listened to thousands (or at least a thousand) of songs at this point and I’d wanna track them all
It’ll def be very difficult categorizing very specific moods with the whole plethora of songs albums artists/bands I can try to recall cuz for me there’s always a different mood for everything
I used to make Playlist, but what ends up happening is I get addicted to one specific artist and want to listen exclusively to them during my listening duration
Truee
Sadly, even when that happens, I often find anime picking a lot of "one hit wonders" for their picks (where sadly the rest of their songs are nothing like the OP)
Like, I really love the instrumentals used in The Ancient Magus' Bride's OP (especially the guitar) and the irregular beat, but the rest of her music is nothing like that

LiSA, Sumire Uesaka, Fhana, Kalafina, Claris, Phantasm, etc
I haven't had an inconsistent experience
I love Aimer
Aimer is pretty consistently great lol
Might be missing a few, but this should be most of them 👀 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL654MH9oE4jdVdF-d4YfOlX0bQiQHUL2N
(the "and covers" bit is because there's several OPs/EDs where I like the English cover more than the original)
Lmao my playlist 'categorizations' are very broad and general. By genre usually, no matter if it's upbeat or slow.
Yee, those three I mentioned earlier have really broad/general titles too lol
- "weeb stuff"
- "AMV Ideas"
- "WellMadeShortScenes"
dang u actually made a whole ass playlist on youtube... ur actually insane
thought u had a link to a spotify or something sorry for making u do this
@topaz linden I tip my hat off to you
I actually tried learning Kaikai Kitan using his tabs I can prolly send a bit of my progress rn
Like I said, it was basically just scrolling through my "weeb stuff" playlist and clicking "add to playlist" on any that were from an anime lol
only took a while cause I've thrown a lot of stuff in the weeb stuff playlist
Yeah just add a bunch of OPs and EDs you've seen and listened in an anime you watched and that's a wrap lmao
Like if you watched 50 series that's already 100 songs
Yeh, fingerstyle covers are usually hit or miss for me, but that guy's covers are really good. Even on ones I wouldnt expect to transfer well to the instrument (Ex: Toilet-bound Hanako-kun's OP)
Yaa his covers unlike most fingerstyle artists resembles very closely to the actual songs and that's what I like about him
Yeah, same reason I like TheAnimeMan's cover of Renai Circulation. Does a really good job of capturing the spirit of the original while still making adjustments for the instrument being used 👀

Ah man I remember this collab
Eddie van der Meer's a typical favourite among my friends who likes listening to guitar covers whether they played guitar themselves or not
I was expecting 90% Hololive/VTubers
Nah, they asked for Anime OP and EDs, so I left out the Vtuber stuff lol
thats in my "weeb stuff" playlist
As much as I know a couple of hololive & vtuber stuff I don't really indulge in their content kekw
I indulge a lil in the clips, but the only streams I watch are Ina's art ones cause theyre educational af lol
Their music content is pretty dang good tho
Ah solid
I think the last time I watched a bit of a stream was Ollie teaching math

Best thing I saw this week was someone putting Gawr Gura's new song over the Higurashi OP lol
https://youtu.be/lu7gyBkseIQ
First time listening to Gura's original song today i immediately thought that it sounds perfectly fitting to the opening song mv for anime!!! I love it so much!!
anime : Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry)
Full Song : REFLECT - Gawr Gura
https://youtu.be/WGgEFoI9MhE
Please listen to the original song! It's really awesome!!

Oh this is pretty neat
Yeah, her style was a lot different than what I expected when I heard she had put out a song
Especially since most of her karaoke stuff is usually softer songs
(Speaking of which, I really liked her cover of the Song of the Ancients from Nier)

Original is still best, but I can respect a faithful cover
Just watched spirit chronicles ep 3
Animation is not great and its really lacking
I expected something good since i've read the novel
Really disappointing sadge
DUDDEEE lyrics aside this would've been perfect ngl
Just got around to looking thru ur playlist and I saw a lot of gems I also have like Freesia, Chiisana Boukensha, and Wareta Ringo. OH AND FLASHBACK + waiting for the rain even though I didn't enjoy their animes at all.
Didn't find any anime recs from the songs but it's a 10/10 playlist
"Waiting for the rain" is yet another in a long list of "god this was a boring anime, but this OP/ED slaps"
