I skipped last week because I had the feeling Ep 12 and 13 of Vivy would end up being best as a set piece, and my god, was it worth the wait.

What a damn good show.

Also, side note: Not 100% sure, but I think the computer screen in last episode implies that ||the Archive has gone back at least 9 times to "revise" the timeline||

Since ||Vivy going back that last time adds another green branch... and the only human-initiated split before that was the initial one that started the series||

Vivy: Flourite Eyes for me is #1 or 2 this season but I'm waiting to see how Odd Taxi plays out. A lot of the series are getting a bit repetitive or cliche imo

Plus I read Nagatoro's manga

100% agree with this statement but my personal enjoyment also includes factors like how fresh and original a work is. I also look for like deeper meanings sometimes and like depth so it's all opinionated. As you said score doesn't really matter between different people's views

I know a lot of people dislike Vivy mostly because of the breakneck pacing it offered for a simple plot but for what it does it's so goddamn good

Ghost In The Shell is miles above Vivy obviously

Vivy is typical blockbuster plot done magnificiently

Like, with movies, I know that objectively speaking, most Michael Bay shit is pretty terrible story/characters/substance wise. A guilty pleasure is still a pleasure, and there's room for both those and "serious" ones👀

lowkey, Brotherhood is both overrated and underrated at the same time imo.
It's story isn't really all that great. Not bad, and the ending was nice, but otherwise I found it fairly average.
The reason why it gets a high rating from me (and what I think is the underrated part of it) is more for the consistency/structuring of it. Its ability to make each episode of a 50+ episode series drive the plot forward in a notable way is impressive af.

Ok I'm just gonna leave my thoughts here because Sonny Boy episode 1 was out for a while.

• Amazing production; the fluidity of characters and the atmospheric manipulation is terrific and befitting of the director's intentions. Another example: ||No soundtrack until the evoking last minute?? GOODNESS||! The direction for this episode is FUCKING AMAZING.
• The superpower implementations were genius. When one utilizes ||frequency manipulation||, the dialogue dampens, and that's awesome. The ||penalty|| power only works if someone breaks a rule, and additionally the engaging mood made me forgot all about it, so someone taking advantage of this is excellent.
• I actually laughed when Cap with his ||penalty|| powers forced someone to do ||long division all night|| LMFAO
• The characteristic executions are breathtaking. Smooth like butter dialogue, refreshed humor, personalities established really well, we got no stupid tropes or anything like that! All this in a condensed, survival-like situation where the whole episode premise revolves around the linkage between the students is impressive as hell

If I were to give this episode a rating, it's a motherfucking 9/10. PHENOMENAL as fuck, and now I have to wait a month for the other episodes aaaaaaaaa

So the recent episode of Shadows House seems to be anime original apparently because they're quite unsure if it's gonna get a second season, hence they'll go for that route to wrap things up if that's the case. That's what someone who's loving the manga so far told a couple of us. Though I just happen to be in the convo and I still haven't touched the series yet cuz CloverWorks studio is sussy baka

But the route can kinda leeway to transition for a S2 if it gets the green light as he says so this will be interesting

Then again, CloverWorks is kinda a menace to society as we've seen in their previous stuff so this will be even more interesting

But yea @median geyser it's 13 episodes for Shadows House. That's more than 12!

There’s also Kanojo mo Kanojo and that could probably be like the KanoKari of the season. A two-timer plot where ppl told me it’s funny so I’m gonna take a look into it

Bocchan maybe, and my friends want me to pick up Aquatope but there’re only complimenting the PA Works clout, and boy when they mention PA Works, they really reminding me of Jun Maeda’s recent stuff

I don't think the conclusion is gonna leave a huge impact as it's tying up loose ends pretty quickly.

The characters and their depths are pretty great but based on what I've seen, the way they're directing to leave them on a good note might seem "rushed"

in a sense that I want more closure for them because they've been developed so well and you'd like to see more y'know

We'll see next week, if they can prove me wrong then it's gonna be my best seasonal for me
Otherwise, it'll still be the best seasonal for me just a tad better than Vivy

I gotta say the anime looks slightly better

it's not that gore for me I like it

• O Maidens in your Savage Seasons: Coming of age for a group of teen girls leatning what sex is, with some really well written characters and memorable scenes
• Eromanga Sensei: I feel like thos show gets a lot of shit for the main character being a siscon, even tho he doesnt even act on it (at least in the anime). The other love interests are really well written, and the story the anime covers is really wholesome too. (Elf-senpai in particular is a really unique take on tsunderes that I love)
• Over the Moon for You: Romance in its purest form. Guy asks the girl of his dreams out, and she says yes... on the condition he marries her. Super wholesome romance.

Fantasy:

• Ascendance of the Bookworm: Definitely a slower burn, but the grounded realism of this isekai is what sets it apart from others, with hints of fantasy and magic that grow as the series continues. The MC doesnt just rebuild real world tech in a fantasy world from some sort of flawless memory, she has to trial and error her way through fantasy and medival tools to make the books she wants.
• Beyond the Boundary: Kyoto animations, so you know the quality is good. Action fantasy, with budding romance mixed in. A group of spirit hunters dealing with a cursed clan, supernatural events, and spirits mixed in.
• From the New World: An... 'unusual' one. Gives me similar vibes to S1 of Promised Neverland. A group of psychic kids in a fantasy postapocalypse try to uncover the truth behind the shady adults that rule over the land.

I mean, he's great in the sense that I wanted to see him absolutely creamed, even though he's barely better narratively speaking than an evil-laugh villain. What I dislike about the movie (aside from missed potential as you pointed out) ||is that they just left him to continue on in his experiments. I understood that it isn't guaranteed (although, the movie set up threads that were never resolved insofar as at least crippling his operations) or may come at risk, but liquifying children>"finding mom?" significantly. Heck, they could have at least give an indication that they told the others above about what Bondrewd was doing for crying out loud. ||

The Spider anime had two studios working on it. Studio exsa/Studio ENGI primarily focused on the spider bits, and Millepensee doing the human bits (Spider's plot is two seperate but interacting plots of the humans and the Spider MC).

And well... Millepensee is the studio responsible for that infamous Berserk adaptation

and it starts to show as the later halfs focus more and more on the human bits...
