The CG animation in some of the fights takes a bit of getting used to, but I think they've done a decent job meshing it with the 2d material. Its far from "Berserk" level bad at least.

The show really shines in its MC and in its worldbuilding. There's some pretty great acting sprinkled throughout the show, and it does a pretty good job of building up the scale of the world the character is in.

Animation is a 6, but story and characters put it at least around a high 7/low 8 imo

Then the human portion shows the alien and unknowable horror her actions seem to create in those she encounters. From ||killing with a thought (Evil Eye + Long range eyes), casting an uncountable amount of skills to the point where even the best magician in humanity can't even grasp what he is seeing, to random acts of unpredictable mercy leading to a devout spider cult.||

Late reply (just woke up lol), but the Konosuba LN is pretty good imo.
Only thing I'd say is if you watched the anime, you might be better off skipping Vol 1-4 (since the anime was pretty faithful to it, it'll be the same content and jokes all over again)

Vol 5 is where it picks up the quality imo (and on a completely totally unrelated to anything note, is also when ||the Kazuma x Megumin content begins||)

The movie technically adapted Vol 5, but cut so much content that the Volume is still new

I never felt shocked or mind blown by a plot twist

It felt sorta childish in a way

I'm extra critical cause of Ikuhara, but even if he wasn't involved, it's a mostly forgettable show
