But AFAIK their gender is not confirmed nor is it ever a topic anyone brings up or cares about in-story. Panda just says “Kirara is a boy” when referring to when he knew them back before leaving Jujutsu High and before seeing how current Kirara presents themselves. But it’s strongly implied they’re queer of some sort (they seem to be very romantically involved with Hakari, the more conservative members of the Jujutsu community had reservations over Kirara, Hakari doesn’t seem to be interested in men but will be very ‘comfy’ in physical contact with Kirara, etc). A lot tend to default to Kirara being a transgirl or a femboy but we just don’t seem to outright know, nor does Gege say anything about it.

There's a generic kind of art that I feel is similar between manhwa and manga, but then there's obviously varying styles that artists will have that may lend better displays of emotion and action

Albeit I do think some genres suffer more than others (specifically ones that are centered around romance)

I might've been spoiled by commercialised (printed?) manga since the standards there for conveying emotion are very high

Now that I have finished ZZZ 2.4's main mission, I have another manga twist

You guys know the trope "You must live to atone for your sins" for the character who tries to sacrifice themselves for their past, right

Let's twist it a bit

A robot letting almost everyone in a residential area died in an infection because there are only a few who can be saved calculated by its own algorithm

So it save only a few people

Years later, it tries to atone for its sins by trying to sacrifice itself in front of the few people he saved, but it was stopped by those people

Those people said "you don't owe the dead your life, you pay your sins by living"

But right after they said that, the ghost of the people left to die suddenly appears around them and demanded the robot to sacrifice its life to pay the sins

The ones who survived then tries to fight the ghost to defend the robot

And that's where the story began

Genre: Psychological

This story will play around with how are you supposed to atone for the sin of purposeful ignorance

Pairing a reincarnation story with something like "A Dog's Purpose"

A person dies and gets reincarnated as a puppy, and has to learn how to live and understand humans from an entirely different culture than the reincarnated person understands

Learning commands and things over time and having limited understanding of the language because it's something they never practiced in life, having to navigate their new life before being able to reincarnate back into a human (as in some influence from Hinduism and Buddhism as a permanent soul gets reborn in different bodies to pay for their sins in a previous life)

Like if someone tried having a conversation with you in Bosnian you'd probably have absolutely no idea what they're saying, but if they used some universal hand signals and paired them with words you'd, over time, understand what they mean

Similar to how dogs are trained

But instead of using a language that's known, or gibberish, you'd use shapes and weird symbols for the human speak, and never make it something that one language would "understand", but eventually be "understandable" to anyone who'd learn the patterns with the mc dog

I have a trilogy normal manga idea

The first one is a bit of mystery with romance manga, the mc lives in Hokkaido, a normal-looking man, working as an office man, but it seems that there's much about the mc than we know of in the beginning of the manga, the mc met the heroine as a coworker, fast forward, the last chapter, he tells the heroine his past, that he was a-

The second one is your typical romcom manga with the blackmail trope, but don't worry, the characters are adults, mc is trying to find some place to live since he came from outside Tokyo, he finds a share house, only to realize that it was a women only share house, but the women lets him live because of pity

Except for one person, the heroine

She really hates that a man lives in the share house meant for women only, so she tries to prank him endlessly, trying to make him feel uncomfortable, but it didn't work

Years go by, then one day, when the mc tries to take out his washed clothes from the his own personal washing machine (seperated from the women washing machine) to dry it on the hanger, he found a woman's underwear in his washing machine, then the heroine walked in on him, catching him taking out her underwear

But in reality? It was the heroine's mistake because she didn't look correctly when she was putting her underwear in the washing machine

The mc pleaded to the heroine, trying to make the heroine not telling everyone he was a pervert since he respects women's boundaries, the heroine thinks it's a good idea to blackmail him and making him her own errand boy

Yada yada yada, the heroine started to falling in love, but don't know what to do since the mc wants to kept being as her errand boy, ordinary stuff like in typical romcom blackmail manga

Then one day, she receives a chat from the mc, telling him she needs to come to this building

She goes there, she found mc in a boss room with someone else sitting in the boss chair, then the mc tells the truth, he was a hitman and was sent to be based in Tokyo

His final mission to be released from the hitman job was...

to kill the heroine.

It turns out that the heroine had a heritance of a rich company, but she didn't know since she thinks she's an orphan

It turns out that her parents puts her on the orphanage because they were poor when she was born, but after she was born, they started a company, and forget about her, the company got rich and her parents now remember again about their daughter, but they didn't want to try and find her since they think they are cruel to put her on the orphanage

Moving back to the present, the mc then defects by trying to kill his boss, in their fight, the boss, while injured, shoots at the heroine purposely, only for her to be protected by the body of the severe wounded mc that shoots back at his boss, killing him, then mc falls down as he was bleeding heavily, the heroine holds him in her lap, crying as she knows she can't help the mc, the mc tells her not to cry, his final words was "I love you"

The end.

Sorry if the second one was so long and the first one was so short

I intended to make the first one a short one to make the mc of that story a mysterious person with a mysterious past

Let's start the third one

The third one is a continuation from the second manga and it's a typical time travel reincarnation romance manga with action

The mc is the heroine from the second manga, it starts when she was crying on her room about the second manga mc's death, she was so sad that she had to take walk outside the share house

She tells the ssmc that it was okay and it was her fault for not looking correctly when washing her clothes, saying sorry, then she leaves him, leaving him wondered, he knows that she hates him, but why did she said sorry so easily for him

In this story, the heroine tries to save ssmc from sacrificing himself since she loves mc so much, the heroine kept her facade appearance by kept doing pranks towards ssmc but tries decreasing it by the next prank until it stops completely, the ssmc felt weird because the heroine is slowing the intense of the pranks

Then one day, the heroine suddenly confronts ssmc about his secret job as a hitman since she knows ssmc was a hitman in her previous life but also had a valid reason because after she stopped her pranks completely, she found ssmc going outside at midnight when she was going to the bathroom and found him exhausted in the morning on the dining table with blood on his clothes when she wokes up, but she won't tell anyone, she said that she wants to join the hitman world, the ssmc, having no other choice, allows her

Yada yada yada, she got stronger by doing hitman job, while the ssmc started to falling in love with the heroine

Then one month, the heroine noticed that the ssmc started acting weird around her, that's when she noticed it was the month when the ssmc sacrificed himself for her, she's now determined to save the ssmc, erase all identity of her and ssmc, and escape Tokyo

Two weeks after she noticed the weird behavior, the epilogue events of the second story began, but now ssmc is fighting with the heroine instead of by himself, in the fight, when the injured ssmcmc was knocked back and can't move anymore because of the injury, the boss shoots him from far away, the bullets getting closer and closer, only for the heroine to stand in front of the ssmc and get shot, protecting him

The heroine falls down to the ground. Ssmc, seeing the heroine he loves gets severly injured, started to get angry with adrenaline and forced to move himself to fight the boss, winning the fight, then ssmc runs back towards the severly injured heroine

The heroine, while bleeding out, tells him that she was reincarnated from another timeline and that the ssmc she loves dies in that timeline, and since she was reincarnated back to the past, she's determined to save ssmc, if she can't save him and leave with him, at the very least, she can sacrifice her life for him, the ssmc crying while hearing this

The heroine's final words was "you need to live for me and escape Tokyo, I love you", then she closed her eyes, the ssmc screaming

give her agency and preferences, things she likes and dislikes, and have boundaries that make sense for a person to have depending on what has or hasn't happened to them

it's how you create depth in a character, male or female or other

but then again, if it's meant to be a romcom, having characters be one dimensional is also okay- i'm just saying this because you said you didn't want to

you don't have to imagine it like "what would this female do/think in this situation?"
just imagine it as "what would this person do/think in this situation? with their personality and experiences leading the way?"

Tbf, how old is frieren in elf years? They are practically immortal, and we see she has barely physically aged since becoming an orphan- maybe biologically she's still a teenager like the others ?
Albeit it's been a while since I watched or read it so I could be misremembering if she ever stated she was an adult in an elf's life 😭
