which does kinda pull me towards revisiting some more "used to be slop" slop but no longer slop

like these series have more mature themes than many modern anime, and yet they're rated like 7.4 or something on mal which is quite low for how much value they offer Imo

Personally, I would forgive many things if the story brings me something new, which Reign of the Seven Spellblades does (and this concept author gives sits with me well). Ofc, it's up to individual preferences if something new sits with you well or not. Like To be hero X or LotM bring a great new idea (sort of), but neither is to my taste, which also doesn't mean I would go trashing it on MAL

it's not a question of being faithful or not. It's a question of what the story was designed for. If it was designed towards reading 80 pages in an hour, it would excel at that and no matter how faithful you are in adaptation, you story tempo would not be that of a good fit

But if you can see that it's a good concept, you would apreciate what comes afterwards, if you don't see the potential within the concept, then you only would see bad tropes till the end

TL;DR: AI in Halo goes crazy after a few years, so to help moderate divergences from the norm, many of them collectively gather in a sort of AI parliament to negotiate major decisions/perspectives.

you can start by asking your AI about prompt optimization techniques and most effective prompt directives. Then you can ask AI to optimize your own prompts using these techniques with examples. Choose whatever suits you afterwards

The more you optimize, the more niche it becomes. So the standard usage (when you just tell AI what you want without priming it) is generally recommended for all-around answers

It really depends what you want to achieve. If you want to get decently verified results or stress-test the answer, you have to engineer your prompts a bit

For most cases, it isn't worth the time you spend thinking the prompt through. But it gets you a much better output (like some answers are more truthful than other answers, unfortunately more truthful answers are usually a minority and LLMs are trained to prefer majority)

Most useful directive I found (and most often used by me) is: Provide a conclusion and a minority report with a confidence score. So it will provide a general consensus (what majority thinks) and a minority report (dissent, what minority thinks). I found minority input often useful. Minority report works better, if you ask your AI to act as a panel of experts
