• beastars utilizes animal instincts to drive a murder mystery to coming of age series and it does a decent job at it

Hard to say, maybe making a pause and thinking about the episode helps. They put a lot of foreshadowing everywhere. And this happens in every story arc, that's pretty much how the story works. They even foreshadow things 2-3 storyarcs ahead, so you kinda need to keep a lot of things in mind to figure this out
